Seems kinda fun, but stat-race meta progression really just locks you in. Not really a fan of that. Bot placement tactics are a bit messy as well, since you gotta constantly magnet-pick them all up and move them around which somewhat jumbles them. If you don't have a problem with grinding some vertical progression, give it a try. Very low price tag on it, and it's pretty decent.
A very active Auto Battler game. It's great if you want to play a game where you build a team but you still have to take care of it! You get the usual Auto Battler feature of buying units that level up with copies. You also play a little robot that scrambles around to pick them up away from danger and use wrenches to heal them. It gets pretty hectic and insane. To add incentive to replay, there's a ton of stuff to unlock and quite a bit of lore stirring behind the scenes. I was given a free key, but for $3, this is honestly good value.
I really like this game :) You make up your team from robots of different kinds. The robots use abilities over time and you get a bonus when combining robots of the same type. You can interact with the robots by dragging them out of the danger zones and by using healing tools, You try for a few runs and then you learn and are ready to squash your enemies. It´s a funny game, it´s worthy. Nothing more to say.
(Written at the time of update 1.101) TL;DR easy recommendation. The game is polished, the gameplay just works, and there's quite a lot of content, with signs there may be more in the future. Solid rogue-like (or rogue-lite?) about micromanaging turrets around. Upgrading between rounds is a lot like other games in the genre, like Hades, and it rewards trying new things each time. The tone and graphics are charming and simple, but nonetheless it all looks very neat and polished from the moment you boot up the game. No bugs encountered yet, and again, the experience feels quite polished, so it doesn't seem like there will be many. As regards the gameplay, the premise seems deceptively simple and even dull, but it simply works, and you have to keep up with the difficulty. It seems easy at first, and you do end up feeling OP pretty soon, but then one of the bosses reminds you that no, you haven't figured it out just yet, sweeps the floor with your robots, and then you're left with that "one more run" kinda feeling. Also, let me read you a line from one of the recent announcements for the game: "Introducing Mechanibot's first major free update". That kind of commitment is just commendable. But even if you only got what is available right now, the price is no excuse, so give it a go!
Cute, quick, and fun! It plays very smoothly and the core gameplay is complex enough to stick around even after finishing the story. I 100%'d the game in just 6h but I'm sure I'll revisit to test different team combos. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a single-player Teamfight Tactics alternative (bonus points for very well-done pixel art! <3)
7/10 Cute game for <5 bucks but can get a bit samey after a little while. Even with different synergies picking the ranged guys whatever there trait is always works as all the traits are fundamentally extra damage. The runs feel to samey, with the same units and environments, and you can often get the same build is you force it every run. But its different and is more engaging than the multiplayer Autochess games. Overall I do recommend it but don't expect to be the one game you play forever.
A fun and highly addictive game, at first I was a bit worried about the difficulty, but once I got the hang of it I was hooked! very creative, it's interesting to customize your team and purchase upgrades that amplify specific strengths.
Best game 2022!
(Review copy provided by developer.) dropping my first impressions here, which I will update as I log more into it: this is a really cute autobattler which conveys the fact that you're a mechanic with interesting, er, gameplay mechanics. the pixel art is also wonderful. extremely fair for its pricepoint, if my current run is anything to go by. if you like the super technocratic, min-maxing kinds of roguelites, this is gonna be your bag.
Super fun mini manager. Great to pick up for a while and then take breaks between rounds. And the art is amazing!
