Mecha Ace

Good game, just don't use the Checkpoint function. It's glitched and when you either exit or look at another stat screen, you go back to where you were before reloading a checkpoint.

Really enjoyed the game overall. It had a tight story with plenty of interesting characters and choices. My only complaint is that the story is fairly straightforward and does not deviate depending on your choices but other than that a very good sci-fi mech game/book.

Fun, captivating setting and interesting accomplishments so far, I like this game.

This Choice of Games game does what it is says on the tin. You get to play a mecha pilot in a galactic civil war. The premise draws from Macross and Gundam pretty heavily, and if you like that sort of thing, you'll like this. I like that the story takes itself seriously, despite being inspired by retro (and campy) anime. The story doesn't branch as radically as some other Choice of Games games I've played, but there are some interesting decisions and role-playing opportunities. I would have liked there to be more scenes out of combat, but at least half the game is war scenes. In any case, this is a pretty good game with evocative writing.
