This is a great game. I have loved it since I was a kid. This version updates the grafix and DOESNT MESS WITH THE GAMEPLAY which is FANTASTIC! If you have never played before, you are going to LOVE it.
I have such a love hate relationship with this game. The combinations and synergies of spells, abilities, and troops is great. The art is beautiful. The RNG is just on the edge of annoying and fun. But I just can't get past the blatant cheating of the AI. I know this is just how strategy games try to make a game challenging. But it just gets annoying to have a single city AI gather a massive army without slowing it's own development at all. Furthermore, while your troops struggle to take out a single sprite held node, the AI does it with a few spearmen really reliably. IMO it's bad enough that it just makes victory tedious rather than satisfying.
Incredible remake of one of my favorite games of all time. While the remake will never be able to reach the amount of hours and joy the original brought me... this game is true to the spirit of the game and adds a wonderful modern engine and a lot of really fun features. I was a massive MOM fanboy back in the day, and love this remake. It was rough around the edges at launch, but it is polished and a beloved addition to my library now. Not a lot of remakes of classic games capture the soul of the original as well as this game does.
I'm still learning the game, it did take me a bit as I am not familiar with the actual game, the mechanics are a learning method that is not to bad. Reading the manual and watching some youtube vids can help.
Loving it, looks much better than the original and so far no crashes (which with the original was unavoidable it seemed

I am really enjoying this version of the game. I truly loved the original and am now getting to relive the memories.
all the fun of the old game with graphic upgrades
A great classic game from the GOG days. Wasn't the original from the DOS days? Fun to play they updated the game well.
