maybe the best horror ending i have ever encountered in my life
this game is disturbing asf but man its really good
Best family simulator.
This is if not THE, then one of the most disturbing games I’ve ever played. You start as a victim and later become a psychopathic murderer. The game has a pretty unique way of “walking” around: you simply browse from left to right on a map, and there are several locations to explore. You don’t get to click much, it’s more a visual novel, the only puzzle is finding the right path. The real impact is the story. It says an angel will help but when you actually meet this angel, you realize all hope is lost. It’s in the darkest/hardest moments, that people can't tell right from wrong, good from evil. The game offers different choices, some are locked and may require a second playthrough. Also I don’t think there’s any real meaning, just a dark story. Lastly, there is a game breaking bug where items disappear. My workaround was to select the chapter and find the times again, luckily, they reappear in their original places. There are mild jump scares and abusive killing scenes, play at your own risk. My curator page
A very unsettling and compelling story of madness, best played in one sitting. The puzzles are fairly light but the dialogue, the visual effects, the sound effect... oh man, the sound effects alone made my imagination go wild. An excellently written game and the ending was very clever. Highly recommend if you can stomach the content warnings!
A must-play experience! Masochisia is one of those games that stays with you long after you finish it, not just because it’s unusual or provocative, but because it hits hard due to the fact it's based on Albert fish ofc. It’s a psychological journey into darkness that's rarely explored in games, with a SUPER atmosphere you won’t find in most mainstream titles.🕯️
I don't normally write bad reviews for bad games, I simply ignore them. In this case I feel I am honor bound to say something about it. First of all this is NOT a game. I'm not sure what it is, but there is zero game play. Assuming it was supposed to be a 'horror story' brings me to my second point. This as nothing but a bunch of contrived nonsense. It's neither scary or anything else. Basically it is just a waste of money and time. If you want to literally point and click for 5-6 hours to mercifully reach the end then by no means let me put you off buying it, much less playing it. I'm going to do the only thing left to do which is uninstall it and avoid any future encounters with Oldblood efforts. I only paid $2.79 for it but even that was way too much.
It's short - but even still, I couldn't finish it. The character art is great - definitely a highlight and the music is spooky, but the dialogue is predictable and tired, and there isn't anything to do... you just go from one place to another over and over and talk to people and use items when you're told to do so. Not really a game, so disappointed.
