Quirky, cute game. Easy Achieves. I enjoyed the visuals. I can't always vouch for sound since I often turn down music, and sometimes other sounds, depending on what I'm doing. Interesting story. I wasn't expecting some aspects. :) Myself, I recommend it for other HOG/PAC lovers. ^.^
Ok story and nice art. It is good game. There is lot moving around in same areas and that get little boring but not too much problem.
A decent Artifex Mund hidden object game, not much more to say.
Queen’s Quest 2: Stories of Forgotten Past, developed by Brave Giant LTD and published by Artifex Mundi, is a charming and intricately crafted hidden-object adventure that blends mystery, fantasy, and classic fairy-tale elements into a cohesive, visually rich experience. The story follows a talented alchemist who is summoned by the king to investigate a mysterious murder that threatens the stability of the realm. What begins as a simple assignment quickly expands into a much larger conspiracy involving enchanted forests, ancient spells, and a web of betrayal that crosses the boundaries of folklore and legend. Along the way, the player encounters characters inspired by myth and fairy tales—Robin Hood, Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, and even Merlin—each reimagined to fit the game’s distinct world of alchemy and intrigue. The mixture of these well-known figures within an original mystery narrative gives the adventure a familiar yet refreshing flavor. The gameplay follows the traditional Artifex Mundi formula but with subtle innovations that make it stand out within the genre. Players explore a series of beautifully illustrated environments, collecting clues, solving puzzles, and uncovering hidden objects that gradually reveal the truth behind the story’s central mystery. The hidden-object scenes are well designed and varied, alternating between item lists, silhouette puzzles, and fragmented object hunts that challenge observation skills without feeling repetitive. In addition to standard point-and-click exploration, the game introduces an alchemy mechanic that allows players to craft potions and transform themselves into different creatures to overcome obstacles. This shapeshifting element adds a playful and unexpected twist to the standard formula, requiring creative thinking and giving the puzzles an extra layer of depth. While the difficulty is moderate and the hint system is generous, the sense of satisfaction from solving puzzles and discovering hidden connections remains intact. Visually, Queen’s Quest 2 is a delight. The art direction captures the essence of a living storybook, with every location richly painted and full of small details that evoke a sense of wonder. Forests shimmer with enchanted light, castles loom in soft fog, and laboratories glow with mysterious alchemical energy. The color palette leans toward warm, vivid tones, and each new area feels distinct and memorable. The animations are smooth for the most part, though some character movements and facial expressions retain the slightly stiff, layered style typical of many hidden-object games. Still, the high-quality artwork more than compensates for these minor shortcomings. The interface is intuitive and clean, keeping focus on the scenery and puzzles without unnecessary clutter. Accompanying the visuals is a gentle, atmospheric soundtrack that enhances immersion without overwhelming it. The music blends soft fantasy melodies with subtle ambient effects, creating an audio backdrop that perfectly suits the game’s enchanted tone. The story is another cornerstone of Queen’s Quest 2, and while it may not reach narrative heights of full-scale adventure titles, it succeeds in capturing a fairy-tale charm that appeals to fans of the genre. The writing maintains a balance between mystery and whimsy, and the dialogue—though occasionally melodramatic—suits the fantastical setting. The voice acting, however, is uneven; some performances sound natural and fitting, while others lack conviction or emotion. Despite this inconsistency, the narrative maintains its momentum, thanks to a steady flow of discoveries and plot twists that keep players invested. The inclusion of well-known mythological and literary characters could easily have come across as gimmicky, but here they are woven cleverly into the plot in ways that make sense within the alchemist’s world. Each encounter reveals a different layer of the kingdom’s history, giving the story a sense of scope and interconnectedness. Puzzle variety is one of the game’s greatest strengths. Beyond hidden-object scenes, the player faces an array of logic-based and mechanical challenges, from unlocking coded locks and matching symbols to assembling mechanisms and mixing ingredients. None of these puzzles are overly difficult, but they are well paced and integrated naturally into the narrative context. The alchemy system provides some of the game’s most enjoyable interactions, requiring players to experiment with combining ingredients or using potions to alter their surroundings. This mechanic adds thematic cohesion, reinforcing the protagonist’s identity as an alchemist rather than a generic detective. The inclusion of shapeshifting—transforming into a bird, a fish, or other forms—introduces short sequences that refresh the rhythm of gameplay and help diversify the experience. In terms of pacing, Queen’s Quest 2 strikes a pleasant balance between exploration and puzzle-solving. The story unfolds at a steady pace, neither dragging nor rushing, and the intuitive navigation makes backtracking minimal. The overall difficulty is approachable, making it suitable for newcomers to hidden-object adventures while still engaging for genre veterans who appreciate artistry and atmosphere over challenge. The game’s runtime is moderate, offering several hours of content for a single playthrough. The Collector’s Edition bonus chapter adds a short but enjoyable epilogue that expands on the main storyline, though it doesn’t introduce major new mechanics or locations. For those who enjoy collecting achievements or replaying hidden-object scenes for perfection, the game provides enough incentives to revisit some of its best moments. As part of Artifex Mundi’s extensive catalog, Queen’s Quest 2 stands out as one of the more polished and thematically cohesive titles. It combines the studio’s signature accessibility and beautiful art with a richer sense of world-building and fantasy adventure. While it doesn’t drastically innovate the hidden-object genre, its alchemy and shapeshifting mechanics provide just enough originality to make it memorable. The voice acting and narrative tone may not appeal to everyone, and some players might find the difficulty too gentle, but these are small compromises in a game that prioritizes atmosphere, flow, and charm. It’s a story that welcomes players to slow down, explore, and immerse themselves in its magical world rather than rush through it. Ultimately, Queen’s Quest 2: Stories of Forgotten Past is a lovingly crafted fantasy mystery that captures the heart of what makes hidden-object adventures enduringly popular. Its lush environments, accessible gameplay, and satisfying puzzles make it an inviting escape for players who enjoy fairy-tale storytelling mixed with investigative intrigue. It doesn’t reinvent the genre, but it exemplifies how thoughtful design and strong art direction can make even familiar mechanics feel fresh. For fans of Artifex Mundi’s work, or for anyone seeking a few hours of enchantment and discovery, Queen’s Quest 2 is a delightful and rewarding journey into a world of magic, mystery, and forgotten legends. Rating: 9/10
This game definitely differs from the first one. In almost everything. You're not even a Queen this time, but an Alchemist. As for the game improvements... They went overly well. You get to participate in a murder mystery + see classic stories/characters from Red Riding Hood / Robin Hood and Hanzel and Gretel. I kept wondering why the hell was this game even called "Queen's Quest"? ... Then I got my answer. You got me game. Look at you. Smart. There are adorable cuties too. Especially the cat, the hamster and the snail. Nothing in here is hard... I think everything is set to "you can do it if you try a little bit"... Except for that puzzle with "making the holes bigger"... That one... I just don't know... V.V Overall, it was fun synthesizing (MAKING) the potions and then drinking them. I wondered if they tasted good... Good choice, good changes. Let's see what's next...! Thank yous! :D =) :>

I love it! I recommend this game to anyone who love hidden object puzzle adventure games :D
