No, this game is not about an (I can fix her) girl with psychosis. This is a short, deeply relatable abstract visual novel about viewing mental illness as both a spectator and a participator, a story of understanding, breaking out of loops, and recovery. As for a sequel, this game doesn't break the fourth wall as much as the first game. Instead, it offers an experience that tries to mirror the target audience's life. Now about the gameplay, I agree that it doesn't offer as many accessibility features that other visual novels would have, but I also don't believe that it drags on too long because of this. It's a short game (around 20 minutes or so), and there is a save feature that allows you to go back to a point of the game where some big decision happens. Sure, it's not enough, but its too short you wouldn't even notice it. Also, the complaints about pricing are definitely not valid. If you understand the care and appreciation that is put into the art of this game, you understand that the value of the presentation far exceeds the price. Highly recommend.
I guess I can fix her probably maybe if I feel like it I guess. Literally me btw did I already mention that? This game is literally me its a story about me im such a lame fat greasy unwashed chud this really appeals to me... Amazing story about me 10/10 me experience really loved the me experience I loved being myself.
This game along with its predecessor managed to blow me away on second look. When I first played Milk in a Bag, I struggled to have any emotions evoked out of me. Maybe it was just me being distracted that day, or not paying attention, but it left me just feeling unsatisfied and my review at the time reflects that. Coming back to it again and looking with a fresh eye, it managed to evoke anxiety in me. You better realize what is or isn't real, and how her mind shapes the reality around her. The same can be said for its sequel. I already felt unease from the first game when I came straight into this one, which I realized takes place immediately after. You can piece together the things that have happened to her, how the affected her life, and where it leaves her now the longer you play. It asks the question of how trauma affects the mind, and a way a person's reality can change because of it. There was also a second, similar horror element for me. The format of the game itself. A visual novel usually offers the idea of choice. Sure, you can affect what's on her mind at the end, but that's about it. Nothing else changes. Regardless of your choices or what you do, you can't help her out of her situation. Her home. Her life. It's that gnawing empathy of wishing you could have helped someone in the past or present and been there, but because of circumstance, you can't. There's literally no way for you to be. Though, that's kind of the point. There IS no other person. It's just her...alone. A victim of those around her and her own behaviors stuck in a cycle. You're just a manifestation of a part of her that she speaks with to feel less alone. To feel as if there is someone else there. The art and music in the game is great as well. I like how the game takes on different colors that fit each ending sequence, and I like how one was a callback to the first game. The ost also does a great job at making you feel unease, dread, or any other emotion the game tries to convey. The art is pretty and everything flows together well.
10/10 immersion. The game engine crashed and it opened up visual studio, and for a solid five minutes, I genuinely thought milk-chan was communicating with me through python code.
not very short like the first part and actually much better, better art, I finally understand what im looking at, and I get to know milk chan more + cute and first playthough feels fun as you talk to her getting different endings is kinda boring cus u have to go through the same parts everytime this games very creepy and schizo
I played the first game ages ago and only recently stumbled upon the second. Both games are a bit hard to understand, because the player isn't actually real -- I like to think the girl we talk to is in psychosis, or struggles with paranoia and immease anxiety, perhaps even OCD. Either way, when compared to the first game, the second really out does it in term of storyline and artstyle. I like that we get to fully see the girl we talk to this time around, and I also enjoy how the second game picks right where the last game left off, without any time skips. Even the cenematic the game gives us at the start to recap the first game fits right in, so you dont even need to play the first game.
Absolutely amazing game. I love the main character, and the story she has to tell. If you're reading this, you should totally pick up the game. It's great for the price and can keep you entertained for hours about this little world going on inside the girl's head.
With beautiful art and intense atmosphere, this game is a great continuation to the first game.
