This game is a hidden gem of marvel. At first I thought it was going to be a cheap MCU knockoff but every character in this game is distinct and thoughtfully written with honestly marvelous character arcs. The combat is fluid and dynamic in a way that I haven't experienced in a turn based game before. It felt like a Dungeons and Dragons power trip. Overall it was the way the combat and the downtime built a cohesive world that made this Persona clone one of my new favorite games.

I love this game. It feels like it was made for me. Firaxis strategy meets dating sim meets hero fantasy fulfillment. Even the more mundane part of the game exploring the main hub area felt satisfying to progress through. The heroes are all very loyal to the comic books. If you are a marvel fan this is a lot of fun content. I recommend getting the legendary edition. The dlcs are totally worth it to have more heroes and strategies to play around with.

I absolutely loved this game. I got it because I was a big fan of X-Com, but what surprised me was that I liked it even more than X-Com. The turn based combat mechanics here are so fun. The characters are all so cool and there is something about the turn-based nature of the game that fits really nicely with comic book characters and the way their stories are told a panel at a time. I took my time with the game (doing so many side quests) and I recommend you do the same. No need to rush through it. At times, the writing is a bit cheesy, but other than that it's brilliant - one of my all-time favorites!
