Maneater is a fun game that basically has anyone who is water depraved get a fun experience of going from a baby shark to the megadon shark and finally putting an end to all other apex predators to become the one and only apex predator! The humor and dialog for the other characters (hunter/narrator) is pretty funny and quite corny as a "reality" tv show type of spoof. Plenty of fun collectables to help you advance your progress albeit at the early stages the game can feel slow but it snowballs pretty quickly once you start getting evolutions in. Evolutions you can upgrade by equipping yourself with various organ bits and body parts, each will provide a bonus if its a part of a set as well as various organs providing nice boons, like increased scanning range (seriously have this one maxed if you want collectables found), health regen, and others like organs to help you increase your consumption of various resources and give you more of them. TLDR; Is this game worth playing in 2026? [b] Yes! Definitely a buy-on-sale type of game but right now as of typing this review just after the 4th of July, it's on sale for $5 or less, and DLCs are less then $2. Fun pick up and play whenever you feel like causing some chaos and exploring the ocean, bays, and other bodies of water in the various regions. [/b]

After 6 year now I can admit that this game is stupidly fun and this is a best shark game in my heart even know the game has a crashing problem but I that doesn't happen to me often and the truth quest is quiet fun for me because I feel like that main game is little to easy. 8/10 minus two because of crashing problem
