Mallow Drops is a gravity puzzle where two kiwis try to rescue their lost eggs in a shattered world. Getting to where you need to go is half the fun - just be sure to look before you leap!

Trying to sleep, and all I can think about is how the walls of my house line up, and potential kiwi flight paths...
I didn't play much but it has a whole slew of issues. I recieved this product for free, but I'll be reviewing with the full price in mind. PROS 1) The art and assets are well done. 2) Level design ranges from decent to very good, only occasionally repetitive (from what I've seen). 3) Its almost fun for a few minutes. CONS 1) The music, at least in the menu and starting area, is really obnoxious. Notably so. Its a very short loop that just keeps playing on repeat, from what I can tell. 2) There is a complete lack of Steam overlay support. I attempted to play this game with a Steam Controller but was completely unable to without creating a desktop configuration since I couldn't open the Steam overlay menu in-game. 3) The achievements don't work. At all. I met the requirements for the first two of them and nothing. 4) When playing in full screen, the game doesnt begin to run at a higher internal resolution, it simply upscales (nearest neighbor, not even bilinear) and stretches to fit the window. This makes the game look pretty bad. 5) VERY few options (sound aside) of any sort in the menu. No fullscreen, no controls, no graphics, no resolution settings, no nothing. -- This is something I would *consider* paying 99 cents for on the Google Play Store to occupy my time on the train, or something. Even then, I would rather play any other game on my phone. That's the reason I can't give it a positive rating; not only would I never consider paying $10 for it on PC, but I wouldn't even touch it with a 10 foot pole if it was a tenth the price and on mobile. The game isn't "bad," but just not interesting at all and plagued with too many problems for me to consider it worth more than an hour of my time. If it were free, the majority of these problems would be excusable.
フィールド全体を回転させて、散らばっている卵を集めるパズルゲームです。 かいてんパティシエと違い、アクション要素は控えめなので、じっくり考えながらパズルを楽しみたい方にお勧めです。
This super cute puzzle game is also devestatingly clever, much more nuanced than I first registered. The interplay between character movement and the moving objects as you rotate the screen offer amazing new ways to conquer many of the levels. I've only just scratched the surface of the game (I've just started on the second world, level 21), but there are already a raft of mechanics that have been subtley introduced across the levels. Chasing the high scores is really, REALLY fun! Check it out!

Okay game that is full of minor issues that end up ruining your experience. * Brute-forcing the puzzle usually works a lot better than trying to carefully plan ahead because there are way too many things to consider. Not my kind of puzzle, but it could be yours. Those puzzles seem nice enough if you like that style, which I don't. - Gamepad support is bad. It kinda works, except there's no pause button, and navigating the menus is awful. - Every time I beat a level or unlock an achievement, the games produces a Window Security pop-up trying to login to their servers. Every. Single. Time. - None of the options from settings actually work. You can change them, like fullscreen or volume, but there's no actual change. - Some optional side-puzzles make no sense at all, even for those who solved them. - Game is terribly flawed and seems to have been abandoned. Even if you have already purchased this, I'd say "Don't waste your time".

Mallow Drops is a compelling puzzle game that people should buy. While it may look cute, the puzzles start to get hard fast and there's a leaderboard for beating the level quickest too so I'm encouraged to go back and try and beat Stacey Borg wherever I can.
A strangely addictive fun game with very well designed puzzles. Mechanics are relevant to the core, and the controls are smooth. Its got no game-breaking bugs, so that's definitely a plus.
EDIT 11/21/21
The Dev has checked out and the game's basic functionality is collapsing
see the Steam Forum: as you complete every level the game tries to run some netcode to put you on the leaderboards, but the web site it's trying to reach is defunct. This causes a weird pop-up the interrupt gameplay. You can still get past it and play on -- and leaderboards do still work, technically, but the game's is clearly not being maintained and I can't recommend it at this point. Switching to thumbs down, sadly. Original review follows. --------- Mallow Drops is a cute little puzzler where your goal is collect 3 Kiwi-eggs on each of 80 levels, then reach a door to exit and move on. It's well-built (mine froze only once in ~18h of playtime, when I was really button-mashing for no good reason), and the soundtrack is high-quality even if it isn't a vast soundscape. Graphics are serviceable, with a little variation between 4 "Worlds." I got it on sale, and I don't think I'd be thrilled if I paid the full price, but it's worth a playthrough. Most levels can be beaten in <30s or maybe 1m, after you know what to do. Puzzling through them for the first time can take quite a while, but there's nothing insanely difficult here. There are leaderboards for quickest solve, if you're into that. You use AWD keys to rotate the board, and ←↑→↓ to move around it. You can't change keybindings in the minimal settings that are available. The basic idea is to use rotations to move blocks out of the way, or to move them *into* the way to give yourself landing-spots and enable movement around the board. (When you press an arrow, you fly in that direction until you hit a barrier.) Some new mechanics get added in each World. There's no undo, and since stuff slides around while you rotate the board, you can't always simulate undo by rotating back. But there are very few levels where you can get yourself truly stuck -- usually, with enough keypresses you can get back to an old configuration -- so the solution rarely requires an intricate set of steps that you can muck up. In any case, since most levels are pretty short, it's not that terrible to re-start anyway. Achievements were the real grind -- with 1 of them remaining utterly incomprehensible. That annoys me greatly, but otherwise, its a nice game. Most of my hours of gameplay were for achievement hunting. I'd estimate the true length of the game at around 5 hours if you stick to it (quicker if you're neurotic -- if you magically solve everything on your first try, then it'll be <2h). But it could be a nice game to pick up on and off instead of bashing it.
