Majestic Nights is an episodic action-adventure-thriller set in an alternate 1980s where all conspiracy theories, past and present are True. It’s the bright and brash 1980s; a world crammed with hidden intrigue and sinister plots, government cover-ups and alien sightings, CIA experiments and the Truth.

Tags: Tactical - Stealth Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Very rough game in terms of execution. Dialogue is atrocious. Poor animation for movements. Clunky combat. Story nearly impossible to follow. Possibly abandonned episodic. Stealth elements badly implemented. Sometimes using shadows sometimes invisible radius of sight. Combat is clunky and nearly all interactions with the game world that dont involve shooting simply have you go to highlighted purple npcs and containers to take all/spam dialogue options. While you do that the game will routinely fire movement scripts while talking, or handle pathfinding oddly. The cell shaded shadowrun/early fallout game isometric maps are by far the most compelling reason to play this. In addition whomever picked the conspiracy theories knew a thing or two about which ones have some meat to them and picked them intelligently. The problem is that the dialogue is either very poorly ported to english, or the scripts are not firing right, or maybe it is just procedurally generated. Something is just plain wrong about it. Which makes it hard to follow the already vague on purpose plot line or retain player interest. I found the game most enjoyable played on easy and brute forcing through everything so I could see which conspiracies are referenced and see the maps. After going through 2 episodes (0 and 1)I feel I have a good grasp on whats on offer here. I am not interested in more dlc episodes, which is for the better since news of episode 3 being in the making for well over a year which might hint at an abdonned episodic. The conspiracy games are not as common as you would expect so I will not hide that this is a tad of a let down overall. Wish someone more talented would pick on the idea and do it better. Also the game seemed to offer multiple avenues but they ended up all branching back together, I picked for example the govt agency angle but still ended up with moon landing/area 51 stuff.
I love this game. Only reason Majestic score is a 32 on Meta Critic cause CIA threatened to Clinton them. I feel Majestic should be 71-75 Meta Critic. I would also like to shoot the guy who came up with escape the tent scene in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ knee cap.
Super Game!!
I was excited about this game at first but then I was skeptical around chapter 1 but chapter 2 was very good and I am excited to see whats next that is if they release the rest of the game. I saw the posters in the basement of the club that have the titles of all the episodes. although I do not like the whole pay per episode idea. They are too short I feel to sell them all individually. The game should have been fully completed first and then sold in 1 game at maybe a slightly higher price
Not my cup of tea
