Maid of Sker

Bonne idées de départ, mais très mal exploitées et brouillonnes. Les mécaniques sont mal gérées, voire dysfonctionnelles. L'histoire est prévisible et inintéressante.

Overall a good horror game. It had plenty of moments where I accidently jumped because I wasn't paying attention to enemy footsteps, decent puzzles, and spooky atmosphere. I wish it was somewhat longer, but at 5 hours I think it was worth it.

Very freaky game. It is all about being quiet and avoiding enemies. Now that being said there is a certain aspect of this game that I really like where if you are hiding and an enemy finds you, all hope is not lost. You can still escape from enemies by running and trying to hide elsewhere. The enemies are also not a one hit kill so there is still time enough for you to get away. The jump scares are good where there are not too many so the ones that do happen all seem to be amplified up. I have not beat this game yet but I have streamed it for around 6 hours or so I think and I recommend it, especially if you can get it on sale!

6.9 I'm surprised at how much I did end up enjoying this overall. At the first encounters I was kinda feeling "oh that's it?" but as it progressed it was enough to be engaging and tense but not annoying, if anything still too easy though (normal difficulty). Environments are nice and the sound design works quite well with the footsteps being very prominent. Only one area is overly annoying as I swear as soon as you're out of a safe space things beeline to you. It is a bit of a shame that the enemies never vary or progress in any way, but at the same time there are quite a lot of them in certain areas so whilst they aren't the hardest to maneuver they are still enough to where being spotted might likely end with having to rush, thus escalating the panic. I think I only got spotted like 3 times though in the end which does lean on it being more on the easier side, didn't even need to use the items you get, so I'm unsure on what they do. I'm interested in seeing how it works in VR in the future. I'll be going back and playing through for other achievements etc.

Quality playthrough here. I enjoyed the story, the voice acting, the objectives made sense and I felt like I was progressing the whole time, decent monster creation, and great music too. Lots of good things with this game, but $25 normal price is a little high. I think this is a $10 - $15 game all day long. It felt as it appears for the most part. Smaller budget Resident Evil type piece. It isn't a scary game, really, but there are a lot of pretty and atmospheric environments throughout. Check it out on sale for sure. 6.3 / 10
