This series, alongside with Bookworm Deluxe, is the greatest game(s) for me, and making the biggest influence on my life. While Kwazi was saving the world, we also feel that how Yin and Yang is very important for us on daily life, and teaching us how the life is and what should we do, It's a good game series as well as the lesson of our daily life. I'm waiting for the new MahJong Quest game(And Jojo's Fashion Show) is REALLY REALISED!!! Points: 10/10 and 96/100

I love this game. I've re-installed it many times and started over more than once. It has a fun story and good levels of challenge. Also one of the least buggy Mahjong games I've played in the last ten years. No idea why so many Mahjong solitaire games are prone to odd crashing bugs but never had a problem with this game. Cute, fun and worth the time.

I get the feeling that most reviews actually talk about a specific "Mahjong Quest" rather than the collection. Now, right off the bat: this collection refused to go on sale while I had it on my wishlist, and since I usually only buy on sale, it took some waffling, but eventually I did get the collection. And you definitely get your money's worth with this purchase! There's three different games, which I have different feelings about: - Mahjong Quest 1: while dated, the quest here is very clear (you repair destruction through mahjong) and charming! Some game mechanics are annoying (the "lives" and failure sending you back to the beginning of the same mahjong puzzle without reshuffling) but overall I enjoyed my time with this. There's poetry, various animals talking to you sharing their wisdom, and it feels very wholesome. My playtime here only counts this game. - Mahjong Quest 2: the quest here lost me; you get struck by lightning which separates you into two persons, and then there's various doors containing different treacherous elements. There's not really a rhyme or reason that I could see to the story, and the fortune cookies were at times downright insulting (which was amusing to me, but might annoy someone else). The fact that the quest here was so weak made the annoying game mechanics more annoying. Looking back I wish I would have skipped this one! Similar playtime as the first installment (19 hours), and that is with me erasing some progress partway through. - Mahjong Quest 3: "what is the purpose of life? You have to make your own" - great premise and we're back with a solid quest through a choices matter / princess maker mechanic (so far, choices only really seem to influence the aesthetics). I'm enjoying this one again! They got rid of "lives", which improves the gameplay, although the rest of the annoyances is still there. I am bothered less since there is again a solid quest as a backdrop. For some reason this game likes to crash, it's gone down twice in an hour of play for me. And unfortunately, it usually crashes right as you're about to make another choice, meaning you just successfully finished a puzzle - but the game did not save it, so back you go to repeat it! Overall: flawed, but solid Mahjong, installments 1 and 3 are fun, in my opinion the second one is nothing special and can be skipped; I genuinely prefer my mobile Mahjong app to that questline! The music is inoffensive and instrumental, but personally the loop is too short for me to want to listen to it very long. Good games to play with podcasts in the background.
