kind of like portal but with magnets instead of portals, so in other words not really like portal at all, its fun though if u want a game with similar puzzle design to portal but with some different and new mechanics to play with
chinese need.
I have played through this game 3 different times in the past 8 years or so, and every time i started with aniticipation of a good time. Every time however this game manages to become bad really fast for me. I bought this game back in the day for its similarities to portal, and setting-wise i suppose this game i decent in that regard. But the characters and writing are nowhere near comparable. However, i do value this game as bad because of those aspects, that part is passable. Gameplay wise the "puzzles" are straight forward and never really introduce new concepts. I utilizes a magnet gun for every part of the puzzles, which is in my opinion not fun to control and a cause for frustration in certain levels. The magnet elements never felt satisfying nor did they really develop throughout the game into something interesting. Furthermore, the you may have heard of the endings and achievements in this game, let me tell you that getting these is generally not worth it for the lack of a proper save feature. The endings are also quite simple and not that interesting. Honestly, i can still recommend this game for fans of the first portal game that seek something similar and the developers are indie so i cant blame them to much for a lot of this game's flaws. But if you do decide to play it, i recommend only playing it once as it did not improve over time for me and leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth
Yet another Portal wannabe. Id give this a 6/10; it's not bad and if you like the chamber-physics gun-puzzler genre then it's worth a play. However compared to other similar games such as Quantum Conundrum, Relicta, Qube2, (or even Mag Runner) it's not quite in the same league. Where most of these other titles have you scratching your head trying to work out how to solve them, with Magnetic, you usually know straightaway what needs to be done, the challenge is more about physically managing the controls to achieve it without getting gassed, burned, or skewered. There are 9 different endings, but to achieve them would take multiple play-throughs, and I didn't think it was a good enough game to warrant that.
if you had editor mode it would be so much fun! but you did not have it but i did like the challenge mode please add more! i rate it the max
interesting puzzles, keeps your brain working and improves dexterity
Oh yeah, DEFINITELY tickles the puzzle section of my brain
