Forced "full release". It's just so half baked. Not worth the price or the wait.
M.A.S.S Builder - X A.S.S - ✓ Edit: October 13, 2025 "Full release" I spent two minutes in the builder; yep nothing has changed, just that you can now click on parts and it's less annoying than before. You still can't do jack with the X-Y-Z axis guides, you can't pull/drag them, so what's the point if we're still using sliders? Gameplay: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Full release my foot. Edit: January 2025, latest update: a freaking Patch note. July 2025, the developers are probably busy gooning. Don't purchase this sh** Pros: Customization on every limb and weapons. That's it. Cons: Gameplay: Gets boring after some time. Getting new parts is a real grind and the difficulty, so to speak, doesn't really make the A.I. smart. The real "difficulty" is that they spawn in droves, and no matter how fast your mech is, some gorilla-looking Homunculi is right behind you and will slap you the moment you stopped boosting (or run out of boost) Customization: No part really serves a purpose except for cosmetics (even the gun parts) and each part can only have up to 6 custom parts, which isn't really a lot. Moving the parts is a huge pain because when you click where you want to place the custom part, it changes alignment you can only rotate using a slide bar. Moving the part on X,Y,Z axis requires the patience of a monk because the axis guide don't mean ♥♥♥♥ in this game. Also, they added tank tracks as a "custom part" What do you want us to do with that? Place it on the legs and pretend that we're Gun Tanks? Plot: Humans get slapped down to the underground by aliens. Humans made robots and fight the aliens. That's it. I stopped caring after the first cliche. Update frequency: Early Access since the Genesis of the Universe. They post updates every now and then, but so far, we are yet to get a good update this year.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Bought this game years ago on early access. Didn't think much of it. Wanted to let it cook. Of course it would be "missing features" or just feel unfinished. It's now 2026 and I reinstalled the game to try it out. Only good thing? Very indepth mech customization when it comes to appearance. Music is whatever, visuals are whatever, little anime waifus in the basic cutscenes are whatever. Negatives? The actual gameplay. So we'll have to compare this to Armored Core 6, because that's probably the mecha standard these days. Unless you like the more clunky boxy mechs, that'd probably be Mechwarrior 5. Anyway, how do I put this. There's too much customization when it comes to weapons and mech design; to the point that it appears weight/mass don't matter, and you don't actually have any useable default guns or weapons. I mean, you do, but, it's not as simple as choosing Machine gun, pistol, sniper, rocket launcher, whatever. You mix and match several different parts that aren't descriptive enough to understand what the end result will be, so you'll do that and go on a mission to test it out in the first few seconds then abandon so you can try a new combo. The combat itself is fine, dodgy fast paced, clear projecting from enemy attacks, hoards, bosses. It just gets weird if you're trying to figure out elemental damages to whatever you are fighting because weapon damage is weird. You have to make all your weapons. Also there's several massive skill tree things with unlockable skills and % boosts. It's fine. It works. It gives you something to grind for. Maybe there's a test weapon mode. Maybe there's a more description mode. You know what sucks? having to pull up youtube and reddit threads to understand how to make a gun in this game, and all the videos and threads are 5 years old with some outdated information, or it's a 360p video with a guy using his phone to record his screen, god bless his heart. Anyway, I was trying to get into the game. It has a lot of potential. Which is what I told myself years ago. And the game still feels unfinished. You know what I love in mech games? Having dual wielding. I just like having the same gun in the left and right hand, even if it's not an optimal build. Apparently this game won't have dual because of multiplayer balance issues. And that's where I gave up. There's not enough good singleplayer mech games and they're over here chasing multiplayer and trying to balance and all this crap and the base game doesn't even feel good. Know how I had to find out all this? I chased an abandoned Steam discussions thread a few years old, and then chased down their discord where a few kind players who still like the game let me know. I like how in Armored Core, or Mechwarrior, you can pick a base mech, base guns, and you know what you're getting at first. Then, you can start swapping bodyparts and weapons, and finetuning them. This game, every mech build basically feels the same. There's no difference except aesthetically. There are "default weapons" but you're going to be so lost on how to get a different default weapon. Anyway maybe I suck and maybe I'm a dumb noob that doesn't know what they're doing. But that's kind of the point. I love mech games. Been playing Mechwarrior and Armored Cores since PS1. Played Steel Battalion on that big dumb controller. Wasted plenty of quarters in arcades in that big dumb mechwarrior bubble that shakes. You might have fun with this game. Unfortunately I didn't, even after throwing money at them and waiting several years.
Full Release Update:
It's still a dress-up game for Mecha, the gameplay has little depth and is often awkward and repetitive to interact with.
Early Access - January 2025
Backed the Kickstarter, it's now been on steam almost 6 years after that and we're still somehow in early access? Some games have had a release and then a sequel in the time it's taken to develop the combat system for this game which after all these years is still objectively it's worst feature. Realistically, this is a dress-up game for Mecha, nothing more. I hope they can bring it to a 1.0 state with the depth needed to make the combat system actually fun but after so long I have little confidence in that happening.
I'm addicted to playing robot dress up game.
