About
From the creator of Lost in Vivo and Spooky’s Jump Scare Mansion, Lunacid is a horror ARPG from a bygone era. Immerse yourself in a dark, desperate world full of foes, lost souls, and hidden secrets.
Long ago, the Great Beast arose from the sea and covered the earth in poison fog. Choking out the land of both life and light, a new era of wonderous misery began.
Centuries have passed. The once hallowed halls and bustling streets are mere shadows. Those deemed undesirable are thrown into the Great Well, a pit of chaos and disease. Cast into its depths for crimes unknown, you awaken in this moonlit subterranean world. Your only hope lies with the sleeping Old One deep below. But many perils lie between you and your ultimate goal.
From the mind of horror master Akuma Kira, Lunacid harkens to a lost era of first-person ARPGs. Legendary for their meticulous design and dense dungeons, the King’s Field series was the Dark Souls before there was a Dark Souls. Long abandoned by AA/AAA developers, the mantle of “King’s-Like” is left to the humble indie. Which is great, because that's where all the cool weird stuff comes from anyways.
The world of Lunacid is bursting at the seams with new things to discover, from hidden magics to secret areas. This isn’t just the odd room with a chest in it; entire new areas await those with a watchful eye. Esoteric puzzles and cryptic hints galore are sure to confound and delight even the experienced dungeon delver.
Take yourself back to a time before dodge rolling. Swipe, backstep, block, and overcome foes with patience and persistence. Featuring a robust body targeting system and unique elemental weaknesses/resistances, each encounter becomes a skilful yet deadly dance of death. Begin your journey as a thief, knight, cleric, or… vampire? Building your character up to you.
Over 75 weapons await you in the fetid halls of Lunacid. 37 Unique spells, each with applications beyond the obvious. Finding them all, however, is another matter. Unless you use a guide. Which hey, we won’t judge.┐( ̄ヮ ̄)┌
Don’t forget to save.
Featuring dozens of hours of gameplay and multiple endings, Lunacid is a rich and rewarding take on a classic formula. Relics of past game design long abandoned lie in wait. So jump in the Great Well and let the wonders of Lunacid surprise you. Mimics might just steal your silver instead of eat you.

Phenomenal game. Beautiful aesthetics and vibes. Charming characters, fun weapons, spooky levels, and secrets galore. The best of the King's Field-inspired games that have come out in recent years.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Great. I know it is around 10-20 hours of a game. But I really want to take my time. First time playing something like that! And the moon gimmick, awesome!

It's fantastic. Can be a bit too vague about what you need to do at times (which is very 90's dungeon crawler, at least), but overall great
I'm going to start with the good things : This is a game that requires a curious mind. There are a few paths and obstacles that the player comes across and you need to approach them like a riddle to get past them, and I like that a lot. The way you are supposed to enter the Castle and the Library are pretty interesting. The Role Playing aspect is really simple. Strength or Intelligence are the only stats that matter, you just get some extra dexterity and speed so you can move around easier. Magic is very versatile and I recommend getting at least 40 int no matter what class you play because it just makes things easier. The soundtrack is pretty good. The visuals are pretty clear and visible unlike many other games that try to do a low poly PS2 visual approach; this game did not hurt my eyes. And you can change the visual filter from the options to make it clear anyway. Overall the game is pretty interesting, there's a lot of cause and effect you can learn from the environment and connect the dots too and feel good about it.
The Bad
THE CURIOUSITY IS SO UNUSED!!!!! Almost every secret you can find in this game require you to just run around the map and SNIFFING walls. It hurts even more because maps tend to be large empty corridors and it's already a slog to walk through them. It's alright to have a few secret walls, maybe have some environmental clue to hint at their location, but this is just a damn shame. It would be so much more interesting if there were puzzles and secret doors that required your curious mind to seek the answers to, but alas there are none. And somehow, the secret interactable wall that you can barely tell apart from the environment is the most cohesive type of secret. Some secrets in the game are absolute BS that require a wiki to find out, which is an absolute shame. I was really looking forward to this being an intelligent game, but alas. The Combat is boring. Once again the game has a really interesting combat mechanic, being that you can dismember enemies. However for most enemies this doesn't really mean anything other than doing some critical damage. Why? The most interesting enemy is the Jailor because they have 2 powerful spells that you can nullify by dismembering their head and their candle, making the mechanic actually impactful. For every other enemy it means nothing. Why not add a hydra creature? Why can I not clip the wings of flying creatures and force them to the ground? Many missed opportunities to make combat interesting. There's resistances too, you may notice your class has resistances but it doesn't matter. You have no way to modify them in-game anyway. You cannot don armor or apply any defensive buffs. Enemies have resistances, but it mostly comes down to using a weapon that does light damage because everyone's weak to that. Sometimes they are not which in that case you switch to fire. Elements are arbitrary except for certain locations where you can use an element to dispel another, allowing you passage. The story was interesting at first. Cool world, cool figures, a somewhat tragic tale you can read on within the Castle. But then it all goes out of the window at the ending of the game??? What??? The ending is like Minecraft's end credits but it's even more inane. It annoys me because I REALLY liked Abdul's plot. When I learnt his true intentions at the Labyrinth it changed the entire game's atmosphere for me. Such a sinister plot, and yet it's all meaningless. Going through the pain to follow Abdul's ending leads to a very unsatisfying ending, like every other ending. It only pretends to be meaningful. I am leaving a positive review despite my criticism because I really do enjoy this game, it has elements I had been yearning to experience in a game. It has much potential to be something great. But alas. If you do not mind the bad aspects of the game, then I recommend it to you.
太粗糙,远不如同类型的假面诅咒
If you haven't played this, do it.
Excellent game. Play it, if you like dark fantasy, vaporwave and nostalgia
