There will be mining, fishing, animal catching, and other things to enjoy. And in Multiplayer you are not tied to your Host’s location, you are free to play your way, even in their game. You can be the team’s miner, searching for the best ores, and trade them to your friends for their precious GOLD!

Save the towns people and use gathered resources to help them rebuild to their former glory.
The Blacksmith, Armorer, Arcanist and Chef can level up as well, granting the ability to sell and craft better equipment

Centuries ago, a primal magic surged from the earth's depths, fueling empires but twisting it's inhabitant and the world into corruption's grasp. Forests blackened, skies bled shadow, and rivers turned to poison.
But a less prevalent radiant energy was also born, and hidden within pure warriors, the Luminaries. Armed with the light, their goal is to reclaim the land, hurling back the blight.
Yet the Luminary's gift is double-edged, immortality that tempts the soul. Every 80 years, Luminaries must yield their light to a successor, or risk eternal decay. Defiant ones hoard it, swelling into godlike tyrants of darkness, the Ebonarchs
As a new Luminary, rise in power. Shatter the Ebonarch's abyssal power source to strip their immortality, and strike them down. Together with your fellow Luminaries, push back the Darkness with Light.

My young son enjoys ARPG games, and always wanted to play together with me instead of independently, but there weren't any options aside from MMO's requiring monthly subscriptions, until now. Online multiplayer play connects easily between friend accounts. We made it to the town tree waypoint before retiring for the evening, and we have thoroughly enjoyed the game so far. It's too bad single game-instance co-op isn't a ready feature yet in early access, that would be really cool. There are some bugs, like when mining nodes are close to a cliff, and the gems fall through it instead of landing on it like if it were terrain to be picked up, so I'm guessing some odd collision parameters going on there, or the game doesn't know what to do with it. Also, in our first, short, multiplayer test playthrough, my son joined my game/world and couldn't make purchases from the first little store near the beginning. When he later started a co-op game and I joined his game, I did not have an issue purchasing from the store, so something inconsistent there as well. We did not attempt a retry of him joining my game after, yet. Very impressed with this game so far for a 2-man dev team. PS - I'm playing on a 2024 Dell G15 5530 laptop, RTX 4060 mobile GPU, i7-13650HX, Medium settings. My son is playing on a 2024 mini PC connected to a 4k TV. It is a Beelink SER8 AMD Ryzen™ 7 8745HS with an integrated AMD Radeon 780M iGPU, NO dedicated GPU, on Low settings. These specs are way lower than the minimum required specs listed on this game's store page, and it plays great! Worth the buy!

it a great game. the controls are great. and its fun to play.
Love the game. Yes it's very early in its life, but the game isn't bad for where its at. For a team of 2 to have made this what it is, it's pretty incredible. I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes from here. Give this game a chance and it might just surprise you how good it is for it's early stage.
Considering that a roadmap with the game’s evolution already exists, I’ve played the game so far and had fun as expected. My recommendations for what i see now (focus on the actual state): Double the amount of arrows in loot so players can spend more time testing. Add more interactions to make exploration more fun. Keep the cozy atmosphere, but also include more challenge and action by default. Add more goblins or other kinds of enemies or things to explore. Include objects or cosmetic items as rewards for exploration, perhaps some achievements. I hope to see more of this game — it has a lot of potential, and I expect to see it get better and better. It works fine on Linux with Proton 10+
Luminary is a fantastic Early Access game with a ton of potential! The world is beautiful, the atmosphere is great, and exploring the different areas while taking on hordes of goblins is genuinely a lot of fun. There’s something really enjoyable about being able to jump in, explore at your own pace, and just have fun fighting goblins. Even though it’s still in Early Access, the foundation is already here for something really special. You can tell the developers have put a lot of passion into the game, and I’m excited to watch Luminary continue to grow with future updates. I’ll definitely be coming back to see what they add next!
great so far, and cant wait to see what is in store for the game and for us all!
Positiv: 1. Welt sieht ganz gut aus. (Für seine Verhältnisse) 2. Erkunden hat Spaß gemacht. 3. Keine Abstürze des Spiels. 4. Kämpfe auch für älter Spieler angenehm. Das war aber leider schon das Positive. Negativ: 1. Nur drei Gegner Typen ein paar Rehe und Schweine. 2. Gegenstände in Truhen nutzlos. ;)
