Once you get past the jank, and understand some of the battle mechanics (note: playing dungeon mode even just for a bit really helps understand unit counters), its a REALLY neat game. Lots of mechanics, lots of interesting characters, lots to explore the engine it's built on (Vahrenturga) seems really neat, there's a whole scene and several other similar freeware games, but this is the only one that's been translated afaict
Final Fantasy all the bravest but the rts equivalent of that. Not really like... Good? You're better off with most other rts titles, this game does have it's own charm that I'm sure is for some people. Absolutely wasn't for me though, it's just way too scuffed and sits in my library as I mean to check it out more. Like jesus the story is a mess and the description for the setting on the steam page is: War... No one knows when or how it started. In the lands controlled by humans, one fights in the name of peace and justice, one battles for no reason other than to fight, one battles out of greed, to gain more land, and like this, they all faded in the fighting. The victor edits history to put them in a favorable light, and removes anything that they deem unflattering... As a result, humanity has lost many things to the wars. Territory, technology, and their true history... Now there's not a single country that’s lasted more than 50 years... Like the literally couldn't be asked to make up ♥♥♥♥ other than, I guess they're fighting! I can't really say anything beyond this that wouldn't just be punching down more and saying again how it really wasn't my thing. It does have "something" though, and that special charm is something that I know could be right up the alley of a fair few people I know even. Maybe give this a look, but if you're not sold on some cute png's just smashing together and army composition with experience levels as the max of strategic depth? Probably just move on, there's not really anything for you here.
banger game buy it so my friend can stfu
The game has potential, but is unbalance as ♥♥♥♥
this is great
Fun
