ともすればノイズになりがちな現代の余計な装飾を極限まで取り除き、面白さだけを抽出したようなゲーム。 戦闘には常に緊張感が漂い、奥深い戦術性が有ります。 名作です。
After 2 hours I was astounded by how fun this game is to play. The combat system feels very nice
This is a real roguelike which will confuse many as there are no Choose From Three upgrades every ten seconds and no deck of cards

To me this is without the shade of a doubt, the BEST trad roguelike that came out in recent years. Up there with ADOM, you can sink 50 hours in it and just see just half of what the game has to offer in terms of gear, spells and whatever whacky ability the weapon you're using gives you. There are 6 different endings and some of them are really difficult to achive, so good luck and have fun replaying the game, if you want to remain of sane mind dont play on permadeath otherwise you end up in a nut hospital. Forgot to mention if you are used to how old roguelikes plays, don't do that, you can't go bumping every enemy that comes in your way, games actually requires skills from your part, have fun! The learning curve is challenging but fun!
A nicely balanced amalgam of ToME, Nethack et al.
I am still getting into the groove of things with this one but I will say that if more traditional roguelikes put as much emphasis on sound design and style as this game the space would be much less difficult for some to get into. Really impressive work here.
dark souls as a traditional roguelike
Fun combat with a twist on the traditional roguelike turn base
An absolute gem. The animations, combat, and sound design are very satisfying. The itemization is interesting. It is not just sword of +1 upgrading to sword of +2. The flavor text on the enemies is well written. There is world building narrative. My only regret is that I did not discover this game earlier. The controls are a bit awkward but I quickly got used to it. It was pretty funny accidentally drinking a potion of fire twice in a row.
I'm really digging this rogue-souls hybrid
