My favourite part in Hifuu Nightmare Diary is when Sumireko said "What is this, some kinda Hifuu Nightmare? I gotta write this in my Diary!"

This is a worse experience than Shoot the Bullet or Double Spoiler. The teleport mechanic is extremely difficult to use. You need to memorize your jump distance, and while inputting the teleport command you have to stop other movement. If it were on a separate button from the focus movement button it might be a better. Music is subpar, and the bullet patterns don't feel engaging for the camera play.

(i've played and finished the game before. i bought on steam to write this, so my playtime isnt accurate...) most lackluster spinoff in my opinion. if you want a touhou photo game spinoff, just get shoot the bullet or double spoiler instead LOL. main thing you'll see people complain about is how the controls are super clunky, and they're right. there is no reason for the teleportation to be when you hit shift two times and not on its own key. music's good but not much else to it, really.

The teleport is so fcking stupid It could have been interesting but it's so badly done I guess there's a glitch that allows you to revive infinitely to compensate

Yet the reality barrier separates us like Romeo and Juliette. It is the cruel fate that is reality that separates such star-crossed lovers from each other. Only something so powerful as the reality barrier can separate me from my dear Marisa. For it is my true fate to be married to my lover. On dark days where there is no sun, I shall caress Marisa and tell her everything is alright. On bright days, where there is nought but bliss, I will stay by her side, to share the bliss infinitefold, like two mirrors in proximity. On the adventurous days, we will steal what we wish.
