Pretty fun overall. It's weirdly linear, even if the linearity is well masked by the level design, but it's still a pretty fun platformer up until the last 3 chapters. If you get to chapter 6 and you feel like you don't want to keep playing - just stop, you'll be left with a better impression of the game.

This game is great. The whole experience was fun and challenging. I know everyone already said the atmosphere is incredible but until you play it for yourself it really is an understatment. The controls felt good, i played it on controller so i think i made the experience a bit harder but it was still really responsive. I love that the levels are so open you can get lost in them. Probalbly most of the people wont even go through the same route as each other since its soo freely approachable everyone will find different routs or answers to the platformimg puzzles. The only thing i didnt really like is the 3rd level but the atmosphere is incredible there too so not much to complain about.
Sad robot megastructure parkour <3
I absolutely adore this game, would recommend it to anyone - although it may not be for everyone. To me it was a fantastic piece of design, really beautiful in a bleak sort of way! I was drawn in by it and it was actually kind of inspiring. Fans of BLAME! are guaranteed to get something out of this, the influence is clear but Lorn's Lure manages to forge its own path and identity. There are parts where there is more nothing than something, but even that I enjoyed as it felt like an exercise in saying just enough to fire up the imagination without filling in all the gaps and in doing so taking away the mystery. 10/10 will likely replay many times and keep a close eye on Rubeki going forwards!
After playing it for 18 hours, all I can say is, don't play it
In brief, this was an absolutely incredible game. I had a lot of fun playing it. The easy pausing and resuming made it great. However, the last chapter is a different game. Full stop. So... that's unfortunate. There's a certain expectation I walked into each session with, and that chapter definitely disappointed. But the game is still worth playing overall. I'd just consider the last chapter a bonus level of sorts. I loved how many of the puzzles had a variety of solutions. It was also neat how each new mechanic built on the previous ones. Thus, some puzzles could be solved by a simple sequence of basic actions or a complex sequence of stacked abilities. In other cases, the puzzles appeared to be carefully crafted to develop new understandings of old or recent mechanics, demonstrating an obvious understanding of how to teach well, which I appreciated. It meant that nothing really stagnated, and I eventually used everything, despite the occasional immediate reaction of, "I don't like that because it's not familiar; I won't use it." Up until the final chapter, the level design and sequencing was quite good. I had some frustrations with the tunnels, but everything else satisfied, being a solid combination of complexity and simplicity. The transition into the abandoned cistern was absolutely incredible. While the level itself was rather uninteresting in terms of novelty, the sheer mundanity of the puzzles and refreshing ambiance of the environment made it quite enjoyable after what felt like a dreary, laborious world. It was water for a parched throat. The game's story disappointed me. Personally, I think a more interesting (or perhaps delightful) motif would've been a fall from beauty while chasing a falsehood, with the end being a restoration to that former beauty. But the developer was free to construct their own world, and I think the story was fine, albeit a little hopeless. Perhaps that's the point in these kinds of games. I don't know.
Just finished the game, amazing. Blame! but video game form which I loved. Really made me feel like some insignificant ant in a machine that moves regardless of what I do, which I love in these megastructure games. Amazing atmosphere all throughout the game, sometimes I would just stop and listen to the wind blowing and just look out at the massive expanse before me. Moving through the megastructure via parkour felt great and is very lenient on the checkpoints so it doesn’t make it obnoxious trying to get back to where you died. Alot of reviews harp on the final level and yes, it is completely different from the whole games prior atmosphere, I understand that but it does provides a fair, satisfying and challenging final level for the game. Although I enjoyed it, I still don’t think it should have been the final level for a game like this but its not that much of a disappointment that it sours the whole game Great game and if you enjoyed this check out Metal Garden.
The best megastructure exploration game I've played so far. If you love the vibes of being lost in a grey world full of despair you will like this.
