Manual pages 43 and 44 are missing EVERYWHERE (unofficial sites as well as on the sierra homepage), the very good thing: youtubers covered all the hints and missing infos in their videos. Super fine game aaand cheap. Music can be turned off (you might want that).
best turn based strategy of all time, IMHO
One of the best old school strategy games! The economy is fairly hard to figure out at first but once you learn that cattle feeds everyone by dairy, grain needs to be rotated onto paddocks where livestock were last year and livestock rotated onto fallowed fields, and that sheep net you money through wool the rest is just min-maxing to get your desired resources from any given county/shire. The real-time combat is surprisingly in-depth for a DOS game and while most units are unnecessary (and cost the same as everything else except knights) there's a nice rock/paper/scissors theme to using them. The diplomacy is also pretty fun to figure out. Lords of the Realm 2 really streamlined a lot of these processes, but I feel like they lost something special in doing that as well. There's something to be said about having such complete control like this.
its an old dos game, but brings back memories. slow paced, strategic land conquer sim, has some great elements. simple, slow paced and fun
Lords of the realm is a fun game. It's a little old, but it still plays good. I have been playing it quite a while and I know how to play most of the stuff, but not fighting in the castles yet I don't understand how to do that much that well yet. Put extra guys in serfs it will help out the fields. Buy plenty of sheep and let the sheep grow at the start and sell your wool. Buy plenty of cows and let them grow. Grow wheat to feed your people that's the main idea.
ეს ის თამაში არაა, it's a tribute.
Works well, happy to be able to play this again.
