Coop is super buggy, plaiying it in 2026.
Когда‑то в 2023 году я купил себе на Плойку Lords of the Fallen.
Don't let the online noise fool you. This is a genuinely great Souls-like. The soundtrack alone is phenomenal, elevating every boss fight and atmospheric descent into Umbral. The dual-realm mechanic is a clever, well-executed twist on the formula, and combat has real weight demanding you learn patterns and punishing impatience, exactly how a Souls-like should feel. Yes, it had launch issues, and CI Games has been steadily patching them. But judging it by day-one complaints instead of what it's become sells it short. Lords of the Fallen isn't a perfect game, and it never claimed to be, but it's an ambitious, atmospheric, and mechanically satisfying Souls-like with one of the best scores in the genre, a genuinely inventive dual-world system, and combat that rewards mastery. The complaints are real, but they're overshadowing a game that, warts and all, deserves to be played rather than dismissed.
Should have played this game years ago one of the best souls like i've ever played second to Sekiro.
Lords of the Fallen ... what can be said? I originally bought the game because I was looking for another Soulslike. My second requirement was: it had to be playable in co-op from the very beginning. And in that regard, Lords of the Fallen delivers. You can play through the entire game together without constantly being separated, interrupted, or forced back into your own world after every boss fight. My partner and I were able to experience the whole journey side by side, which made the game considerably more enjoyable. At least, whenever the co-op system decided to cooperate. Despite selecting the option that was supposed to carry over our shared progress, it did not always do so reliably. Eventually, this meant that the same person had to host and invite the other every single time, or we risked the game becoming confused about what we had already completed. At one point, I was kicked out because of a poor connection. The game then seemed personally offended by my attempt to rejoin the session and made returning to my partner far more complicated than it had any reason to be. So yes, the co-op is fantastic. Fortunately, the rest of the game gives you plenty of reasons to forgive it. Visually, Lords of the Fallen is beautiful. There are some genuinely impressive armor sets (Bloodborne *cough*), and the level design visuals are phenomenal. There are clear influences from Berserk and Elden Ring, but the game never feels like a simple imitation. It takes those inspirations and creates something with its own identity, atmosphere, and visual language. The boss fights are solid. Lords of the Fallen is not flawless. The co-op progression caused us several problems, and the connection issues occasionally tested our patience more effectively than some of the bosses did. But despite all of that, I had a genuinely great time with it. Recommend it? Yes. Preferably with a co-op partner, a reliable internet connection, and the understanding that one of you may have to become the permanent host of this doomed little pilgrimage. I am already looking forward to the second game.
Revamped. Overhauled. The Version 2.5 did it. Good game now. The gameplay is way better than what it was upon release in Fall 2023.
En resumen, 8/10 Lo he disfrutado mucho.
