After 314 hour's 👎 Poor Long-Term Experience – Not Recommended (2/10) At first, Game of Thrones: King’s Road looks like a very promising and enjoyable game. The atmosphere is strong, the world is well designed, and the early gameplay can actually be fun and engaging. However, the longer you play, the more the issues become obvious. The progression system feels overly complicated and heavily grind-focused. You constantly need multiple resources such as Gold, Copper, and crafting materials, which are all tied together in a way that makes progression feel slow and frustrating. Instead of feeling like natural growth, progress often feels restricted and unnecessarily stretched out. Upgrading gear and obtaining higher-tier or legendary items requires a large amount of time and effort, but the rewards do not always feel satisfying. Even after consistent daily play, progress can feel minimal. The daily gameplay loop also becomes very repetitive. Most days consist of the same cycle: going to camp, farming materials, repeating missions, and trying to upgrade equipment. After a while, this structure stops feeling enjoyable and starts feeling like repetition without meaningful change. Another major issue is the lack of clear long-term direction. The story feels incomplete, the map does not expand significantly, and there is no clear or reliable roadmap for future updates. This makes it difficult to stay motivated over time. While the game does have a strong visual foundation and an interesting concept, the current execution makes long-term engagement difficult. Many players may lose interest due to the repetitive gameplay and slow progression systems. Conclusion: A game with good potential and a strong setting, but currently limited by repetitive gameplay, slow progression, and unclear long-term development.

This is a good game with flaws. I just completed watching the series and was hungry for more of the GOT universe. Its a recommend for fans of the show who are interested in seeing Westeros come to life and interacting with its inhabitants, Some of the major characters appear as well, from brief cameos, to entire questlines. The main quest takes a turn that reminds you that you don't always succeed in your quest or become the hero of the story. If you just play the game and pay attention, it is well immersive. Unfortunately for those not interested in the lore of the show there may not be much to grab you. There are systems within systems and an energy system to pace your progression. However I didn't hit a real wall until near 40 hours into the game. And there is the cash shop... It's like a gatcha system with items and gear. The game reminds me of Where Winds Meet, but much simpler. The animations are more limited and the combat has a little jank to it. But overall I have enjoyed my time with it. I did spend $10 on one of the "starter packs" but I have more than gotten my money's worth. On a final note, there is some uncertainty regarding the game's future. I have read speculation that the content has dried up and new events just consist of recycled battle passes but no new story. That's a shame, as like I mentioned previously, it is an interesting game especially if you are a GOT fan. But with the state of the industry, if it doesn't make massive returns, it will get abandoned and shut down. TLDR; Its good if you are a fan and interested in the stories and characters.
Beautiful open world. Confusing Currencies though. Game is complicated, spending a lot of time in the menus. Some boss fights impossible and they level up with your character. I wish i could pet the cats and dogs.
The game has its moments and can be really fun at times but unfortunately the fun is constantly coming to a halted by a progression system that causes you to have to grind for hours between main story missions or pay to level up your character fast so you can continue on with the fun parts. If you're bored and have nothing better to do than or you need a way to keep your hands busy while you listen to "A song of Ice and Fire" on audiobook then sure. The game's free to paly either way so, knock yourself out. PS: I may have only 2 hours of gameplay on steam but I've played over 40 on the Epic game store so my review isn't coming from only a short playtime.

Total: 1/10. Graphics: 6/10. Story: Possibly great. Gameplay: Possibly great. Character generation forces you to pick a name, but "Thomas" and all the Top-50 meaningful in-world names are taken by other players - so I got stuck with "Thomas3454355" ... displayed in bright yellow letters whenever my character is on screen, UNBELIEVABLY anti-immersive: - 5 to total score. Avoid this title!
WORTH PLAYING !
game is like any Ubisoft game but worse. and its still the best game of thrones game we got that isn't a mod.

Horrible game. It's so laggy and buggy. I couldn't get off of the main screen for the longest. its slow and clunky. not worth it
