I read and watched some negative reviews and it seems like lot of people just had wrong expectations. That is somewhat understandable, the game reached the roguelike audience, who are used to fast, fluid combat and instead got the rigid, souls-like combat. That is unfortunate for the developers, but if you have correct expectations and enjoy that type of combat this game is going to feel amazing. It has some clunkiness, but no more than other games, really. It looks and sounds incredible, and is very very fun. Very solid indie game, and I got it only for a buck. Incredible.
Honestly, coul've been wayyy way better. It's just missing a couple fixes in some systems, like collisions and combat, they're just weird, but seems like these ain't coming any time ever. Here's what I mean: The combat system seems to reward a lot the player for using Sekiro-like deflections, which are basically parries. Enemies will always show like a danger symbol and that's the game telling you to press the parry button, if succesful you'll recieve no damage and also have the opportunity to perform a counter attack and maybe even stagger your enemy. As for someone whose favorite combat game is Sekiro, I was pretty interested in this game. The problem with this parry system is that parries are not consistent whatsoever, seems like they're only consistent from idle but dynamic cases like while moving or maybe while chaining and some other cases you kinda rely on luck. Also timings aren't consistent, you may see the danger symbol and that doesn't mean parry right away, is just maybe parry now, maybe later you'll figure it out, and I can kinda see why is that but, wouldn't it be better if you're consistent with the symbol-parry timing but just vary the animation-symbol timing? idk man it's just weird. Also there are cases, with certain enemies, where the danger symbol doesn't matter you just gotta predict when it'll show up, and yes, you can get that timing right by playing but that's just still weird, and is not like enemies animation are that useful either. Anooother thing I found is that hitbox collision detection system is also kinda weird, and I think that's one of the reasons why parries are kinda messed up. And this not only affects parry system but also movement system, sometimes you just get straight up stuck out of nowhere while walking between edges, maybe you even go out of a platform (thing that shouldn't happen) and start levitating but without the ability to move, this never was a run ender for me but is pretty weird. I didn't play a lot of time but encountered all that above A LOT of times, and I mean a LOT, which got pretty annoying and frustating. Game concept is pretty interesting and fun, I loved the idea unfourtanely the game isn't polished and I don't think it'll ever be. The game is also pretty damn short, which is something that I love, games nowadays are eternal and I really appreciate a game that doesn't feel like a full on project to play it. Visuals are very beutiful and progression is fine, fun and dynamic. I'd recommend this game if on sale, definitely not at full price.
Sinopsis

Don't buy this game if you don't have a controller. This game is really not made for a keyboard and you won't be having a fun time. You have 2 movements to control at the same time, your character and the platforms. On top of that you have your attacks. You will want to be able to attack and move platforms at the same time. Otherwise cool concept, I want to play it more once I get a controller or if i play it on steam deck or something
Could have bought a coffee for the 4 bucks I spent on this jank. Some of the worst combat I've experienced in a good while.
There are issues with how the floating mechanic works (sometimes certain paths just don't have a way through), and most weapons are slow and boring, and from what I can tell you either abuse the parry feature or get killed a lot. Not my cup of tea.
