Lone Leader

The title is correct about the "lone" part. In this game, you start in an empty, creepy house. When you manage to go out of the house, you realise that you are in a deserted map from a late 80s fps game. No enemies, no elements, just copy-pasted trees here and there and some other deserted houses, no music, no nothing. Just LSD-themed colors. The games uses like 16 colors or something. Your character holds a gun, at this point you wish you could shoot yourself with it. Fortunately, you can also use the Esc button. I can't understand how these things got Greenlighted by Valve. Couldn't they test the "game" for like 10 minutes?

Press Start, game freezes, wait until it crashes to desktop. Steam needs some kind of quality control ASAP.

Start - crash... Start - crash... Start - crash... Start - cr...no wait...loading...loading...loading...load...no, crash. Start - crash... Start - loading - play till crash. So, it's not a bad game as far as I can say, but it REALLY needs some bugfixes o_O I can't recommend it, yet.

Got it from a giveaway. Infinite Loading Screens, and when you manage to start the "game" you can count the fps with your fingers (you don't even need to use both hands). This "game" have no tutorial, no options to change the keys or at least see what is supposed to happen when you smash the keyboard trying to find a way to do something other than move or jump. The "enemies" are like black shadows with some serious texture problem, you can shoot them with all your bullets (probably the starting bullets are the only bullets in the entire "game") in the head but they will not die. From the screenshots doesn't look so bad, but it's terrible...

Everything is bright, off colored, and looks like the negative of a very bad picture. No key bind options and very bad detail options: bad, worse, horrible, but you get to choose from the three, yay! You can easily hop over the locked fence and beat the game within minutes. Save your bullets because you only get a few shots and nothing dies. The only positive is the trading cards. This leaves me with one question: How many people did they have to bribe to get this greenlit?

You can make the argument that GameGuru exists to just make demos and little experimental games to pass around with friends, but that's not what's happened here... the developer is seriously trying to scam people into paying money for this construction kit copy+paste asset flip. That's not okay! Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a MASSIVE one-day spike in player counts for the game. But this only happened around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards. It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk. It's also been suggested that this GameGuru asset flip was put onto Steam for a sole reason; to manipulate trading cards and abuse the community market. There's no direct evidence, of course, but it does explain a single day 9,000 player count for what's basically just a trash game. While Valve usually catches and bans the developers who do this, I guess they just missed this one. So, should you buy this asset flip? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Lone Leader is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
