LOGistICAL: Caribbean

This is a great entry in the Logistical game empire. It has some interesting twists and puzzles, some of which may have you scratching your head for a bit to figure them out (or looking for spoilers if you get stuck - the Logistical community is great), and it will keep you busy for a while. 10/10

Dieses LOGistICAL ist viel zu schwer... quasi EXTREME... ich kenne mich aus, hab viele DLC / Standalone bereits abgeschlossen, aber hier braucht man einfach viel zu lange und muss zwecks Boni wie Loader etc. total nachdenken... Nein, so macht das keinen Spaß. Middle / Hart ist noch okay, aber nicht so eine scheiße. Dieses Standalone empfehle ich NICHT

Another interesting module from LOGistICAL series. This time action happens in three sets of caribbean islands separated by total quarantine (Jamaica, Cuba+few small islands, Dominican Republic+several medium and small islands). There are planes and trucks available. Module has some interesting puzzle elements that even surprised some of the experienced folks (myself included). It is interesting to explore islands using only planes before your fleet of trucks is able to get there. Special features in module: 1. 20t, 40t, 80t trucks can travel on small roads if empty 2. planes are available (similar to Russia) 3. fastfood and house construction industries are available, some products require at least 20t and 40t trucks/planes to transport (similar to US: Wisconsin) 4. module is separated into three parts by total quarantine making starting each of those three areas feel like beginning but with extra powers each time

You won't be optimizing routes, building long-lasting production chains, planning complex routes for dozens upon dozens vehicles, etc, etc. Instead you will be managing up to 15 not-so-smart trucks making sure they can fulfill demands of each and every town you find. Which can get a bit hectic. [*]This game is for patient people. You probably won't experience the real difficulty it can throw at you for a while (and by that I mean many hours of preparation and unlocking every tool the game can offer you) [*]Many reviews mention "having to overcome UI", well, it got much better. And it keeps improving. In all honesty, being late to the party, I haven't had much trouble with figuring it out. [*]This is not an achievement spam game. Each and any of the achievements require work. Sure, some are extremely easy, but some others are very hard.[/olist] As for the game itself, it's the most addicting purchase I made in years. After playing for few hours I just bought everything that was available at the moment, because I knew I'll play it eventually. It might not be for everyone, probably far from it, but it's a great game if you can see its charm.

Warning: This module is not recommended for beginners in Logistical. The Caribbean module is the most difficult I've ever played. It takes a lot of strategy and planning to complete all the towns in the module due to restrictions and quarantines and patience because the Caribbean islands are very dispersed and the towns require a LOT of resources. It's a huge challenge but very rewarding!

A maddening challenge has been had so far for me in this module. Unbelievable how this unheralded game has reeled me in. In the beginning, there was a bit of a learning curve, but the free to play demos luckily enticed me to give this seemingly average at best game a try, and laid the foundation for the most unbelievable game I have ever played. Don't let your first impression steal away what could be, and has been for many who have tried, an incredibly valuable experience. This game is incredibly vast and nuanced, and includes a very helpful almost cultlike following on discord to share your experience with and help learn the ins and outs of this extremely well put together series. I play whenever I can - I just leave it open on my computer so as to not waste time... If you are intrigued by challenging puzzles, give this enough time and effort - like said before , learning curve exists. Play the free demo (flinders island, then abc islands) if you like this kind of stuff at all, and be pleasantly surprised.

This game seems quite erratic and the "tutorial" provided doesn't help much. I can't say that I would reccomend this game and if I knew then what I know now, I would not have purchased this game. The graphics and sound are simplistic at best. I doubt I would have been impressed with this game even during the early 90's I'm certainly not impressed now.

I've played almost all of the Logistical modules, and this is one of the few I didn't enjoy. The idea behind it is interesting - multiple quarantine zones, restricted roads, and use of aircraft - but it just ends up feeling repetitive. I normally played in short bursts, as I found myself getting frustrated if I played more than an hour in a go, and eventually realised I wasn't enjoying it at all anymore. The thing with puzzle games is, when you solve a difficult puzzle, do you think "oh! I feel glad I worked that out!" or "thank god that's over". With Logistical: Caribbean, I found myself thinking the later. There's much better Logistical modules out there - I can't recommend this one.

Минусы: только одиночный режим — нет мультиплеера; поначалу сложно разобраться в интерфейсе и механиках без опыта в серии; устаревшая графика (игра 2018 года); возможны баги с логистикой или отображением прогресса; монотонность при долгом прохождении; ограниченная визуальная обратная связь при выполнении задач; особенности островного ландшафта (разрозненные острова) усложняют планирование маршрутов и требуют тщательной оптимизации автопарка. Итог LOGistICAL: Caribbean подойдёт любителям стратегических головоломок, логистики и симуляторов управления. Игра привлекает масштабом, разнообразием островов и глубиной планирования — особенно с учётом разрозненности территорий и специфики островной экономики. Однако из‑за отсутствия мультиплеера, устаревшей графики и высокой сложности отдельных задач она может не заинтересовать тех, кто ищет динамичный геймплей или простую аркаду. Хороший выбор для поклонников неторопливых стратегий и задач на оптимизацию транспортных и производственных цепочек.
