Please excuse the amount of hours, they are not accurate on practice, Lobotomy Corporation was a game I pirated years ago, must have been on 2020~21 or so, I played so much of it, maybe a +150 hours on the min on this pirated version, it was so much that I had to buy it, then I got gifted LoR (Greatest gift I ever received) and I must say I LOVE LobCorp. I will entirely skip explaining what's the game about in general, I expect that you read the description of the game itself and view the trailer. Now, do I recommend the game? Depends, the game is a micro management game with deep lore, focusing on vertical curve of learning, I played it again, got 100% on the game again, and I must say, it's a pretty solid game, but it's damn hard and can be quite unappealing if you are not into this type of games. Because not only, the base game suffers from a couple QoL aspects that make it a bit annoying to deal with like: -Employees getting un-selected after sending them to do X or Y thing. And that, ON A GAME OF MICROMANAGEMENT is quite awful, you CAN and I recommend using a couple mods, they make the game way better, specially if you have a lower end specs, since the game suffers from a bit of a poor optimization and memory leaking. If we speak of the bad things straight up I would summarize on: * The lore is a bit catchy, on earlier patches the EN translation was really bad, but still nowadays if you are interested in the lore, you have to pay close attention and read everything on dialogues to not get lost, so replaying the game helps, and playing the sequel Library of Ruina clears a lot of things up. Not the hardest lore to understand, but it's completely worth it since it shows a lot of passion and care for the game itself. This part is more of a 50-50, since it will depend on your own tastes and what your preferences are, for me it was entirely positive, but I can totally see others finding it overwhelming, hence it's the first point. * The difficulty. It's a difficult game, it's ruthless at first, and can be quite annoying, since you can get really bad combination of abnormalities, for example, if an abnormality loves to breach when people die, it's not a problem by itself, by if other abnormalities hate when themselves see others escape, and so they also escape, it can build up quite chaotic scenarios. All abnormalities ARE manageable, they are not impossible once you understand a couple concepts I'll explain later, I can confirm this because I got the worst ones all together once and, while it was painful, it wasn't impossible as a lot of people will claim. Now, we don't talk about day 49, I would say that's the only day that it was simply impossible for me to clear without any deaths, is just chaotic, even for me. Overall, the game incentives using memory repository day, which means going back to a certain point in time but keeping (or loosing if someone died) your equipment that you managed to unlock, which means you can get pretty beffy things if you play your cards right, but that means RE-PLAYING the game; don't fear, the button to retry the day or memory repo are there for a reason, use them without shame, the game expects you TO DO SO. Unless you are stubborn like me, read everything, meaning you understand for example what bosses do, since the game tends to actually explain everything, but some things get ignore by the player base, a quick non spoiler example. Bosses before you start the day, EXPLAIN what their gimmick is, but people still don't read it, why? Because Project Moon fanbase is known for not reading, I wish I was joking. * One last thing to consider as a "must known before hand" is that this is the first Project Moon game, when they were an Indie Company, I say it in the past since it's a bit more of a grey-ish area now if they can still be considered Indie. Why I say this? Well... going back to art style, bad optimization, not the best tutorials for beginners, etcetera; you can clearly see it is their first game, so that should be considered, later if you want to dig up you will realize that the game was even jankier, like really bad... Now onto the good things, it was banger music, like till this day I keep listening some of the OST from this game; the lore is really good if you care and take time to read it, it has a lot of effort behind it, and a lot of references to like... 20~30 books? The modding community saves the game a lot also, they created a lot of good mods that fixes the game, while it shouldn't strictly count as a point, having a decent community behind still counts. So... buy it when it's on a sale, while I think it's worth it itself, Project Moon isn't really an Indie Company that rely entirely on the profit from Limbus Company.
