First of all, game is enjoyable. You can get fun few evenings from it. It looks and sounds very nice. Also the Dev is a cool guy and it's his first game. But, i wish him best and don't want to do "encouraging good review". First, no frames of invicibility when you get hit. Because of that, there are situation when a mob of enemies can kill you in no time. Second, enemies are stunned when you attack them and therefore making a combat just a clicker gamer. Third, pointless of stats and numbers. Game would be much better if there wasn't any stats and you've been chosing weapons based on their effects. Because there were runs where i get further in the game and i find same weapon i have but worse. Maybe make them without or with minimal stats and progression of like: normal, rare, epic and legendary. And on first floor you can get normal weapon with 90% rate and rare with 10%. And to add to the store room ability to upgrade weapon for money, so if they got sword they really like, they could upgrade it for the price heighter than buying a new, different one. There still a strange desicion about Upgrade Crystal where strength upgrade heals you less than ranged intelligence. And durability that increases your max health doesn't heal you at all, like wtf. Traps and traps only room are boring, and very easy to skip by using dash. It was rare to get damaged by them. In the gambling room the cost is at the top corner which is not intuitive, without a doublt, it would be more logical to put cost on top or under the button. Rooms in roguelike must provide variety, but due to the gameplay and mechanics specifications there are little to none difference to player actions: spam-click, danger, dash, repeat (spam-click enemies cause they get stunned, but if you see enemies with excamation mark outside of your attack radious, dash to safety and then repeat.). You do not act differently based on enemies or their combination, even weapons or magic rarely add variety. Bosses are ok, but too easy and fighting them for 2nd time already feels boring. Cost in my country is 10 euro which is a lot. In conclusion: the only one who will buy, play and like this game will be people who are love the developer or who are just playing every indie roguelikes under the sun. In most cases i would not recommend this game.
I enjoyed the half hour or so I played, but I’m refunding it. I honestly got it because I saw a negative review (that seems to have been removed) that said the dev posted their review on twitter. It didn’t even show the context of the review, just that it was the first negative review. In doing so, something seemed strange, so I got the game and played the opening and right on the menu for the game… was the dev’s personal twitter link. That gave me everything I expected, that this is a passion project made by (I assume, haven’t seen the credits) one person. Why did I bring this up? Because projects like this are always interesting to me. Someone giving so much of their life to one thing is a way to learn about them. It’s what makes Indie games feel more personal. Sadly, this doesn’t translate into me liking the game. I didn’t hate it, but it does feel… simple? Like it has a lot of things that work, nothing is broken or glitchy. It just doesn’t have anything that feels personal. Maybe the visual design? I like the way it looks, but the areas look empty, and the world doesn’t seem to have anything to attach to. It’s very video gamey. I don’t normally play these types of games, so maybe I just need something to attach to. The gameplay works but it lacks anything amazing. Maybe I need to play more, but I would rather find something else to play. Now I’m torn about whether this is negative or positive. I didn’t hate it, but I also didn’t love it. I ended up deciding on positive but only because it’s a single dev. I hope their next project is better.
Fun little roguelike, a tad easy in some of the bosses/mobs, but still overall enjoyable. Support the dev so he can keep improving it.
The game is fun, and from what I've seen it's free of bugs. My only complaint is the UI/UX could be cleaned up a bit, and made to look a little more professional. The controls feel tight and responsive even with mouse & keyboard. Overall good game, and nice work from a new dev!
It's a very fun game, sometimes a little difficult but maybe I'm just bad at playing. The graphic style is very nice and I love the bosses. Anyway, it is very pretty and you can tell that it is made with a lot of love, and it is made by a balloon!
This is a fun game. Cool music, fun explosions, and has plenty of potential. Bonus points since it was made by a balloon. I got the blue key, and killed the next boss and died shortly after. I'm going to try to make it a further now Some of the enemies seemed a bit too unforgiving, maybe the player needs a few more frames on damage taken. I am also terrible.
As much as I would love to recommend this game, to give encouragment to the dev as it is his first game - I cannot. The core loop and the combat is fun, satysfying and easy enough so yo can learn it, however, there are a lot of issues, especially with UI and Tutorialisation 1. The game only teaches you basic combat mechanics, but nothing about other systems 2. The game doesn't tell you who you are, what is your goal - little to no introduction 3. UI is atrocius, hard to read, and unredable and takes a lot of enjoyment out of the game
This game is a blast and seems to be bug-free. It's a fun little roguelike, though some bosses and mobs are a bit easy. The controls are tight and responsive, even with a mouse and keyboard. Overall, a great game—support the dev so they can keep improving it! Impressive work from a new developer!
I bought this game because I follow the developer on Twitter and they seemed super excited to launch this game. Now, it's not flashy or super in-depth or anything, but it is super cute and a pretty good price for your time. If you're looking for a cute, cheap little rouge-lite, you might want to check this out; it has some real promise. *I cannot comment on the loop mechanic because I am very bad at these games and haven't completed a loop
Released in July, last update 2 days after launch...basic and likely gonna be abandoned so no point. Not worth the money. Simple and basic is the best way to describe this and no way worth the price it's up for considering better games are actually cheaper...
