Really liked this one. - Amazing writing. - Interesting, mind-provoking storytelling. - Touches on several discussing topics. - Amazing artwork i like it. - Design is simple - Music is good, but after awhile turned it of. 9.1/10
Lily of the valley is a short visual novel that left a long-lasting impression on me. It handles different themes like loss and grief, and the writing is beautiful, compact and full of metaphors. It’s interesting that the story was set in Wales since this is my first time reading a visual novel set there. The characters are well written and even if the protagonist does not have a name, he still has distinct traits that make him different from the reader. I highly recommend it!

Short story that makes you think about life and how we choose to live it.
Deeply enjoyed this both as a standalone piece quite a lot. It's a quick read at around 20,000 words, but the price is right for that. It's a very poignant and enjoyable to read. I'd highly recommend you give it a read. I doubly enjoyed it alongside some of Ebi's other works. If you've read Sweetest Monster beforehand, and intend to read Sweetest Monster Refrain after, I feel it adds a lot to the experience as a sort of loose triad. It also feels like a nice way to break up those two works rather than just barreling through from one to the other.
Милая история, приятная рисовка чтоб расслабится вечером, рекомендую поиграть в Lily of the Valley ,
Новелла, чтобы погрустить.
My first game by the prolific Ebi-Hime. Very much a 'message game' about
depression and suicide
in a way that feels pretty hand fisted though nowhere as offputtingly emotionally implausible as something like Actual Sunlight. Miss me with the beige rhetorical figures and middle schoolian prose but Sillyselly's ethereal art alone is worth £2
Good short visual novel
I tend to enjoy Ebi Hime's VNs that focus on more serious subject matter, which this falls under. I found the read to be enjoyably interesting and well-written. The game design is a little funky. In order to read the Intermission you have to read both of the main endings and click on the girl on the menu screen before reading the Epilogue (because that closes the game and you have to then repeat the process). Then on the final screen of the Epilogue, you have to press 0 in order to read the notes.
