Reviews
I enjoyed it, but not the best in the yakuza series. It's kinda goofy, but in a fun way and it's just long enough to not outstay its welcome.
Клоунская, забагованная, казуальная, скучная. В общем кал, 2,5/10

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Eu vou ser o rei dos piratas!
This game is incredibly fun and entertaining! I'm amazed that a pirate game can be this fun. I assembled a team of beautiful women and all sorts of quirky characters to search for treasure across the land. The protagonist's fighting moves are bizarre and funny, coupled with the hilarious storyline, making it incredibly comedic! The naval battles are simple to control but very enjoyable. If the game's lighting effects are too strong during gameplay, you might need to adjust the HDR lighting settings, otherwise it will be uncomfortable to watch.
At some point, doing the same thing over and over is gonna get boring... and the latest yakuza games are doing the same thing over and over... again.
Gloriously Unhinged. I've never had so much fun taking pictures of old men with glowing crotches. You get to kidnap a child AND his dad. Goro Majima is such a talented musician. He's on some straight up "Devil Went Down to Georgia" timing. This game also features Mario Kart: Detroit. My least favorite part is no gambling on who has the fastest ♥♥♥♥.
So time consuming. They already had the unskippable intro, then some genius added an unskippable menu and an unskippable ship fast travel. These are systems that should take seconds, yet you’re waiting at them far longer than necessary. To the actual review: the game starts real slow, only really picking up around Chapter 3, when the story finally becomes engaging. Once it gets going, though, it is a joyride. The land combat is fun in both styles, the ship combat is where things feel a bit underwhelming. There’s definitely potential there, and I found myself wanting more of it but in its current form it is shallow and becomes repetitive. It’s an area that I would love to see refined in a future installment. While at its core it was supposed to be an asset reuse, I think it adds on enough value to be a great entry in the series. Anyways, I was already sold at Majima dress-up, wish it had more room for outfits and no restriction between Mad-Dog and Sea-Dog.
I have had a lot of fun with this game, but I strongly recommend playing Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth first if you want to get the most out of the storylines and character interactions. The bigger emphasis is definitely on Infinite Wealth - but if you like one of these games, you are fairly likely to enjoy them all. I had dismissed this series as something I likely wouldn't be interested in but am glad to say it has developed into one of my all-time favorites. It's off-the-wall zany at times and dead serious at others, and I enjoy that juxtaposition. This game has crashed on me 3-4 times. I don't recall that ever happening with the previous two entries in the series, which I played in the past year. Autosave functions pretty well - though it is still advisable to save often. It hasn't been often enough to the point of turning me off the game, but it is definitely worth mentioning. Very much a "your mileage may vary" kinda thing.
