[th]🌟Overview:[/th]

Lewd Mod is less about complex mechanics and more about tone. The gameplay loop—sorting images by rules—is deliberately repetitive, reflecting real moderation work. What keeps it lively is Sophie, the witty boss who lightens the grind with playful dialogue. Your responses shape how far her flirtation goes, giving the game a light VN flavor. It’s a satire first, lightly erotic second, and deliberately tongue-in-cheek about prudish censorship.

[th]🎮Gameplay:[/th]

🖱️ Decision-Based Moderation: You judge images quickly under the rules. Wrong calls may affect your standing. 💌 Messaging with Sophie: After rounds, you receive chats where you can flirt, joke, or stay professional. 📊 Scoring System: Your accuracy is tracked, and bosses evaluate your performance. 🔑 Choices & Consequences: Stick to the rules or bend them, with subtle outcomes in story and Sophie’s attitude. 📱 Steam Deck Support: Recent updates ensure smooth play on handheld.

[th]📖Story and Depth:[/th]

The “story” is framed through Sophie and the absurdity of SelfieBook’s censorship rules. Each stage presents stricter or sillier moderation cases, highlighting the disconnect between policy and reality. Sophie becomes the heart of the narrative, providing personality and light romance against the otherwise mechanical task. While not deep in lore, it’s effective satire with a cheeky undertone.

[th]🏆Verdict:[/th]

Lewd Mod plays as a cheeky satire with light adult humor and a focus on content moderation. The appeal comes from its playful tone, the flirty conversations with Sophie, and the increasingly demanding rules imposed by Upper Management. The sorting gameplay is straightforward but fits the theme and gets funnier as the workload increases. I ended up liking it far more than expected. At first I thought it would be a quick distraction, but the exchanges with Sophie and Kurt quickly made me want to keep going. Upper Management’s questionable orders kept raising the pressure, and once men’s and women’s selfies started appearing together, the moderation turned both hectic and amusing. What really stood out were the characters. Sophie’s playful teasing kept me hooked, and she actually reacts to your advice—whether good or bad. Later on, Maddie, one of Sophie’s friends and a coworker, also joins in, adding a new layer to the interactions and making the office chats even more entertaining. Overall, Lewd Mod is stable, funny, and engaging. It surprised me by keeping me invested with its humor, cheeky tone, and evolving character dynamics.

[th]✅Good:[/th]

👍 Funny satirical premise 👍 Sophie’s flirty banter adds charm 👍 Simple but smooth gameplay loop 👍 Multiple small variations in outcomes

[th]🛠️Could Be Better:[/th]

👎 Repetitive gameplay after a few hours 👎 Limited CG variety 👎 Minimal music/voicework 👎 Light on true “adult” content beyond nudity and banter

Enjoyed the review? Really good game! Love the characters and storyline. Unique art style. Story's a slow burn, but engaging because the characters are so likeable.
A fun game a bit like "Papers Please" but with a silly twist that you're banning nudes (hehehe). But it's fun to chat with your "coworkers" & choose silly dialogue options.
Has a LOT of content (and both male and female pictures) so it certainly feels like it's a better bang for your buck compared to the dev's other game, Maddie Goes Shopping. However, it does feel a little repetative with what you have to do to get to the 'texting' and all the stuff you get as rewards is pretty tame/solo. Still, around an hour of content for a single playthrough, and some slight variation makes it somewhat worth it. Might feel like a better deal on sale.
The pictures won't turn you on but the unexpectedly erotic writing in the characters’ dialogues will! Can't wait for the next installment 8/10
Fun low stimulation game. Great for visually impaired gamers. Low resolution graphics, but very engaging gameplay and storyline(s). I've followed this game for a few years as it is in development; and this is the core to the franchise. I've also grown to enjoy the unique graphics and multiple characters.
Really fun game! Can't wait for more!
This game is rad. The art is hot, the characters are fun, the story exists! It’s simple but you’re not here for complexity. Enjoy the ride. Play with one hand.
Lewd Mod is a niche indie simulation game that builds its entire experience around the role of a content moderator working for a fictional online platform. Developed and published by HH Richards, the game takes a concept inspired by modern social media moderation and transforms it into a lighthearted blend of decision-making, humor, and character-driven storytelling. While the premise may appear simple at first glance, the game finds ways to keep players engaged through a combination of judgment-based gameplay and ongoing interactions with its cast. The central mechanic revolves around reviewing user-submitted images and determining whether they comply with the platform's strict content guidelines. Each decision requires players to carefully inspect what appears on screen and decide whether the material should remain visible or be removed. The challenge lies in interpreting the platform's rules, which often create situations where the line between acceptable and prohibited content is not always obvious. This process creates a surprisingly engaging gameplay loop that rewards attention to detail and consistency in decision-making. A major part of the game's appeal comes from its conversational elements. Throughout the experience, players communicate with Sophie, a supervisor who guides them through their duties while also engaging in casual and often playful dialogue. These interactions provide a welcome break from the moderation tasks and give the game a stronger sense of personality. Rather than functioning as a pure simulation, Lewd Mod gradually introduces a narrative layer that encourages players to continue progressing in order to see additional conversations and character moments. The writing succeeds in making the experience feel more personal than its premise would suggest. Dialogue choices allow players to shape certain interactions, creating a sense of involvement beyond simply approving or rejecting content. The relationship between the protagonist and Sophie serves as the game's primary source of progression, and the conversations frequently add humor and charm to what could otherwise become a repetitive routine. Players who enjoy visual novel elements will likely find these exchanges to be one of the game's strongest features. Visually, the game adopts a straightforward presentation that prioritizes functionality over spectacle. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, allowing players to focus on evaluating submissions without unnecessary distractions. The artwork supports the game's comedic tone while providing enough variety to make each moderation decision feel distinct. Although the visuals are not especially ambitious, they effectively complement the overall concept and contribute to the game's casual atmosphere. One of the more interesting aspects of Lewd Mod is its subtle commentary on internet moderation and content regulation. Through its exaggerated rules and fictional social media environment, the game invites players to consider how platforms determine what is acceptable and what crosses the line. These themes are explored in a light and entertaining manner, but they add an extra layer of depth that helps the title stand out from other small-scale indie projects. The game's greatest weakness is the limited scope of its mechanics. Since most of the experience revolves around reviewing content and making approval decisions, some players may eventually find the gameplay repetitive. Those looking for extensive progression systems, complex simulations, or deep strategic gameplay may feel that the experience lacks long-term variety. However, the game never pretends to be something larger than it is, instead focusing on delivering a concise and focused experience built around its unique premise. Overall, Lewd Mod succeeds by embracing its unusual concept and delivering a surprisingly entertaining mix of moderation gameplay and character interaction. Its combination of simple mechanics, humorous writing, and light narrative progression creates an experience that is easy to pick up and enjoyable in short sessions. While its limited depth prevents it from reaching the heights of more ambitious simulation titles, it remains a memorable indie game that offers a fresh twist on a rarely explored subject. Rating: 6/10
Nice graphics, easy and fun to play, and a very entertaining plot. Of course, the minimalist dialogue for your character and the simple art style only add to the game's charm. Definitely would recommend.
