Picked up a copy after seeing it recommenced on Reddit and thought it seemed pretty interesting! Really cool premise and I like the story, Got a bit confusing at times but that was just because I picked up some notes in the wrong order. Had one or two stuck moments but again, cant be sure it wast just my fault. Solid 7/10 game if a team made it but the fact its created by one single Dev makes it a 10/10 in my book. Cant wait to see what they make next Spoilers for the game included but did a full play through below! https://youtu.be/HfY-y2WuVhg
I'll recommend this when it's on sale. Like 1$ and under price tag is probably a reasonable grab. Game takes ~30 minutes. Going to leave feedback for the dev here: * Drop the narration and just do all text. Having male text narrated with one VA and the rest as only text is a bit odd. * The incessant heartbeat is rather annoying. I guess it's supposed to increase when you need to find a pill quickly enough? I found the text indications were sufficient. * Why is there so much exposition so quickly? I feel like 3 characters were introduced and I knew about all major players and their motivations in the first 3 minutes. I'd say less exposition dump at the beginning. We literally see a monster then get a detailed explanation of what it is and does. * The lighting and design are a bit... odd. For example the elevator in the hospital is ambient red lit, but there's no bulb or emission source anywhere. * Might want to have a proof-reader do a once over for the notes: "Contact with the devil" should be "Contract" etc. Here's the things I liked: * The initial surprise of that guy in the hospital is clever. It's not a cheap jump scare and it's well executed. * Some sound design is good. I enjoy the talisman noise and the laser door noises. * The jumping platformer section. I always find the platforming parts of these games the most interesting. Nebraska had a similar section that was good.
I just finished the game and I liked it quite a lot. My favourite part of this game is the atmosphere. It feels so good and reminds me a bit of Outlast where you have to run and hide from the big bad monster with a bit of Resident Evil with all those orange tentacles and eyes. It success in making you part of the world you are exploring. I also liked the teleporting doors. A very cool concept that I enjoyed a lot wondering where I will be sent to next. The puzles and parkours sections feel good too and count with the surprise factor as I didnt expect them to appear in this game at first when I pressed the start button. The story is good and has potential but feels a bit short. I would be very interested in seeing a extended version of it with more members or fhe Sindicate and their lore, as I would like to learn more about them. Their backgrounds, why they joined the Sindicate, what their own goals are, their personalities... Which talking about, I found the mechanics to beat them quite fun. The red pill, the flower coffins... Really cool concepts. I recommed this game. If you like small horror games, you should definitely try this one. Very well done, Horrawr
Just choosing 1080p bricked the whole game for me, reinstalled and tried it again, bricked my game again. i honestly don't know what i am doing wrong in the first place. That being said, I am not going to get an refund because its a game by a single dev, but i'll be doubtful to buy another title from them
Decent little horror game.
I got this game for free from the developer. This game has, some problems but it has some strong points too, you can surely see it's a passion project, a first project maybe, so you can't expect a fantastic work. the horror side is quite weak, with most of the jumpscare being forced and not scary at all, but there is something there, I liked the story and the concept, you can surely develop there. So I wuold not reccomend this game to my friends, but I'm looking foreward to the improvement of this dev. I wish you the best of luck!
It's a short and kind of pointless horror game that has a really cool atmosphere and a decent amount of variety. There are some simplistic puzzles, a platforming section, a stealth section, etc. There are a couple really effective jump scares and the developer creates some really beautiful looking environments. There are also some unintentionally funny things and no real challenge. I still recommend it if you want a casual short horror game with an effective horror vibe.
nice game it was short and sweet! i liked the story imo as a horror games fan, it lacked a bit of jumpscares but i personally jumped twice, overall it's atmosphere is nice and scary, game is cool!
scary trippy experience. good story. minimal puzzle. A nice test of courage as you walk through each stage gradually getting more scarier w experience https://youtu.be/ktX_wyRWe9g
You are placed in the shoes of Vera, a special investigator who can enter dead people’s minds to uncover what happened to them and ultimately see how they died or who murdered them. Her latest case involves Zoe, a journalist who got too close to an organization that kidnaps people. However, by entering Zoe’s mind, it soon becomes obvious that the organization, which can control nightmares, has set a trap for Vera, who must now push through everything it throws at her. The gameplay focuses on moving forward through mostly linear stages. The first stage takes place in a house where you can interact with wisps that reveal Zoe’s thoughts and search for keys that open locked doors. These wisps are found throughout the game, and they reveal the full story if you interact with every one you encounter. After solving a simple puzzle in the final room and going through the door, you find yourself in a completely different environment. This becomes the main gimmick of the game, as chapters alternate between stages that involve a house with doors and dungeon like areas. Some areas may feel a bit similar due to the limited number of assets the game can use, but the path forward remains fairly consistent. It usually involves finding keys, solving simple puzzles, completing short platforming sections, or surviving chase sequences. You can fail during these deadly situations, but the game saves beforehand, so you do not need to replay large sections. The game is also very straightforward and lasts less than one hour. You can unlock all achievements in a single playthrough, which means there is little reason to return once you have reached the ending.
