About
Waves of enemies attack you and your opponents. Build defenses to survive. Send mercenaries to smash through your opponents' defenses. Scale your economy to become a late game beast. Like Chess, every match is familiar enough to reward game knowledge, but divergent enough to require adaptation.
Each match, you receive a random roll of 6 fighters, from 12 million possible combinations. Every fighter has strengths & weaknesses. Some secure strategic advantages early game, while others have powerful late-game synergies. Your skill lies in your ability to make the most of the hand you're dealt.

With 9+ years worth of data-driven, monthly balance patches, Legion TD 2 is perhaps the most balanced competitive game in the world. Rather than introduce disruptive changes every year to shake things up, Legion TD 2 has opted to chase perfecting a healthy meta. If you take a break for a couple years and come back, your same openings will probably still be viable.

Party as 1-8 players. Play 2v2 and 4v4 matchmade games.
Single-player/co-op campaign.* ~8-12 hours, plus 10 levels of AI's.
Active playerbase. Fast, fair matches since 2017. Still going strong in 2026.
One of a kind gameplay. The only standalone team vs. team competitive tower defense.
Fun to learn. Dynamic in-game tips and special new-player matchmaking ease you in.
Packed with stats. Winrates, pickrates, match histories, leaderboards, top games, and more.
Global servers. All multiplayer is cross-region, hosted on our servers.
No pay to win. In-game purchases are 100% cosmetic.
Behavior system. AFKers, griefers, and toxic players are dealt with quickly.
Monthly tournament. $1,000 in prizes every month, hosted on Twitch.
Weekly challenges. A puzzle-like competition to find the best build with a set lineup.
*Note: single-player features require an online connection due to technical limitations of the game engine.
Legion TD 2 is the sequel to the 2nd most popular Warcraft 3 mod of all time, Legion TD. Also known as Squadron TD in Starcraft 2. The top 5 most played Warcraft 3 mods are DotA, Legion TD, Wintermaul, Footmen Frenzy, and Life of a Peasant. Legion TD is proud to hold the silver medal.

Legion TD 2 launched in early access in 2017, and has received major updates, quality of life, and balance changes every single month since then. After fully launching in October 2021, we believe it has grown to become the most replayable, balanced, competitive strategy experience out there. Unlike other indie multiplayer games, Legion TD 2's playerbase has stood the test of time, having been active & steady for nearly 10 years and counting.

TD but not really but stil sorta fun
Used to play Legion TD as a mod on Warcraft III when I was a kid - discovered this game randomly on Steam and had to buy it! Worth every penny: the game’s still improving patch by patch but I feel like it has already surpassed the OG game in terms of tactical gameplay and of course, graphics.

Best competitive TD game ive played that requires a lot of skill and testing limits.
Absolutely beautiful gameplay, stunning support. 10/10.
Very solid tower wars experience that continues to be updated years after release. Has a solid community, cosmetics rather than p2w and is great to play with friends.
Amazing game, if you love strategy games building games or if you are a fan of TD (tower building) type of games you will fall in love with this game. Updates are very often, always new content, always fun. You can play alone or with friends.
Good time 30 minute time sink. Players are mostly not toxic but you encounter them on occasion. The mechanics are fine but there's so much dependency on your allies that playing with randoms may as well be like playing slot machines. Game usually comes down to the last few seconds so if one ally decides not to send, it's gg even if you've been wining the entire game. Some people have mastered the cheese strats which are still heavily reliant on randomness making them less cheesy. The randomness is what makes the game fun, so if you can accept that skill will only take you so far unless you're in an arranged team, it's a fun game not to take seriously. If you're a hardcore player but don't have a friend to play ranked with, this is not the game for you.
goood game!
