Нам не дают свободы действий, а буквально шаг за шагом ведут по сюжету, ограничивая изучение окружающего мира парой экранов. Первые полтора часа игры можно приравнять к слегка интерактивному мультфильму-прологу. Я буквально засыпал, читая бесконечные тексты и диалоги героев, смысл которых можно уместить в пару строк. Иногда давали открыть пару сундуков или поучаствовать в легкой битве, и тут же снова приходилось сидеть и ждать, пока герои перетрут между собой новость про то, что меч, закрывающий проход тьмы в мир людей сломан, и монстры прут со всех сторон. Если приободриться и не заснуть на первом часу игры, то потом дают немного больше свободы, но битвы с некоторыми монстрами становятся хардкорными. Чтобы одолеть сильных врагов, нас вынуждают закупаться предметами в магазинах. Зато тут вне боя не надо лечить персонажей. Здоровье автоматически восстанавливается после любой схватки! Бои типичны JRPG, но визуально сделаны на отлично. Их можно проходить в автоматическом режиме и переключать скорость боя на 3 варианта. Если мелкие, слабые существа, то включаем самую высокую скорость, авто бой и отдыхаем, наблюдая, как герои сами дубасят монстров и прокачиваются. Mostly, KEMCO's titles has provided a classic JRPG experience for RPG fans. It includes RPG content above average quality at an inexpensive price. This game offers 20-30 hours of gameplay. The story is somewhat mediocre, but it attracts the player's interest to some extent. The title of the game, Tetrarchs, represents 4 heroes in the game. Lloyd(Light), Ishbel(Darkness), Siegfried(Death), and Eileen(Life). They’re summoned when a holy sword has a problem, this event opens a wound that exuded darkness to seep into the world. Because of these disasters, people have started to mutate into monsters. So the ancient heroic warriors gather brave adventures with the courage light for slashing the darkness. This game features turn-based RPG battles. You can adventure with up to 10 teammates with their own personality, and involve 4 in your battle. Unlike at first glance, combat strategy is deeper and more fun than thought. And it features an auto battle system where you can beat weak monsters at 3 times the usual speed. It is a solution to the repetitive grinding often mentioned as a disadvantage of JRPG. KEMCO has been producing and distributing RPG titles for nearly 20 years. Their greatest strength is that they are faithful to RPG basics. So if you like retro style RPG, this game is worth trying. [/th][/table] Is this game a masterpiece? No, but it is a well-crafted, polished retro JRPG. Published by KEMCO, a japanese company specialized in quality JRPG games, the game has been released on console a few months ago. Following a rather cliche story, the evil King of the Underworld has awoken after a 600 year slumber and now sends his evil minions through a newly created rift (with a little help from some friends) into the world of the (still) living. You play four heroes that have to seal the hole and kill the evil spawn that came through it. You get everything the genre has to offer - randomized monster encounters, turn-based fights that become quite challenging later on, an automatic quest list, characters that collect experience points and equipment, gain levels, cast spells and are nibbled to death by a walking fungus. An immersive narrative with lots of conversations often plays like a Visual Novel, but the fights get more frequent later on. You start every fight fully healed, I loved that. Colorful graphics with typical anime characters that are still cute even while they slaughter everyone in the town, no technical problems, a reasonably good (for jrpg standards) english translation (you can switch to japanese or chinese) make this game a joy to play. The game is getting too frustrating to continue playing. After 54 hours I just can't take it anymore. The issue is that I get trapped in the game and then have to reset due to a development issue. The problem is that there is a huge resistance walking through narrow body-width paths like doorways, between tables or buildings. Sometimes I spend 10 minutes trying to get through when it should take 3 seconds. Otherwise I find it a very fun game. It has a great story. Too bad I'm forced to give up for I would love to see the rest

In this video I take a look at Legend of the Tetrarchs, an RPG maker type game. The primary focus of these guys is storytelling and they seem to do a great job of it, so don't go expecting too much hacking and slashing. It's there but 80% of this title is the story telling so if you’re not up for that then this title isn't for you. Conversely, if it's your cup of tea then you'll love this title. They are great at it and will have you engrossed by the journey the characters are on. It's well written multidimensional storytelling. Can they recover the Sword? Sometimes you play a game and realizes that you don't like the character you're playing. With this game I would love to get the lead character killed....he is acting sooo stupido. Now for the rest of the game. I run around with a set of greenhorns trying to save the world ... with other words the usual crap from every generic RPG. That the devs haven't invested much work in it you can see at the boring stills for your characters during every conversation....hell, you can even equip the main char with an sword and is picture still shows him with an spear. Your characters have only a few slots for equipment...weapon, armor, ring each 1 and than 1 individual skill and 2 that you can choose to equip (1 of them only after a certain time) from a list of skills you found. Now you can improve your weapon, armor and ring up to 5 times if you have enough gold (grinding galore). To make it a little bit easier...you'll get gold for quest.....like winning 50 fights....walking, breathe (OK, the last was a joke..I guess). There are NO items you can use. Yes, you'll find items but they are called treasure and only gives you and your party passive skills (like +1 attack). After each fight your party is healed. Skills during the fights are used by TP...you have some at the start of the fight and than gains some from the action. That means if you don't have the skill to heal or the member with this skill is out....that's it good luck for winning. And it also means that you must grind like crazy to win some boss fights. And fights drags on...especially those that are scripted and where you can't win. Towns are only good for item searching and buying equipment. The conversation with NPC is useless. Basically you get an generic RPG with much grinding. The only good part is that (exceptional for Kemco games) there is no Pay to Win content. I can't recommend this game only if you have played every!!! other RPG.
