El único juego donde salvar a tus amigos de una horda de zombis es opcional, pero insultarlos por morir es obligatorio.
Left 4 Dead 2 — A Childhood Game I Still Enjoy Today I have always considered Left 4 Dead 2 to be one of the best zombie games that I have ever played and also one of the most enjoyable games I have liked since I was a child. When I was younger I would play it on PC shop/Pisonet computers and I never realized that the version I was playing wasn't the official one— I simply knew that I loved the game. 😂 At that time I mainly played the Campaign on my own, although I did have some friends who also played it, but none of us knew how to join each other's games. Now that I think about it, it's a bit sad that we never got the chance to play co-operatively when we were young. I have just obtained the official game and now see how much I had been missing. The experience of playing with friends and other players is entirely different from playing by yourself. It is more unpredictable, intense, and chaotic. You have to depend on your teammates and you can never tell what is going to happen. On some occasions everyone works perfectly in unison while on other occasions everything goes absolutely wrong. 😂 One of the things that surprised me most was finding that you could play in the role of the Infected. When I first had a go at it, I was completely unsure of what I was doing or of what strategy to adopt. 😂 As a child I had always been curious about how the Infected just appeared out of nowhere. Only after actually playing as one did I understand how those ambushes functioned—you could wait for the right moment, locate a good position and then surprise the Survivors. It's amusing to realize that I had been wondering about something for years even though I eventually got to experience it from the other side. I also found that there is a great deal of variety in the game. The realism gives Campaign a much more intense atmosphere, whereas in Versus players get to fight as either Survivors or Special Infected. In Scavenge both teams compete for gas cans and generators, in Survival you are challenged to last as long as possible, and Versus Survival includes player-controlled Infected. The mutations also alter the rules and offer you different methods of playing the game. Furthermore, the Achievements provide you with additional reasons for continuing to play. I also really enjoy the characters and the Infected. There's Coach, Nick, Ellis, and Rochelle, together with the returning characters Bill, Zoey, Louis, and Francis from Left 4 Dead. Each of the Special Infecteds contributes something unique to the game and means that teamwork becomes important. The version that I used when I was a child was missing some of the material that I now get to enjoy, such as the Left 4 Dead 1 campaigns and The Passing. I particularly enjoy the way that The Sacrifice links with The Passing and Bill's story, and I really appreciated seeing the original survivors meet the new ones. There's also the Steam Workshop. Previously, I used to download custom maps from websites and have to install them all manually, which was a real pain. 😂 These days, all I have to do is subscribe to maps, campaigns, skins, and mods. A number of campaigns created by members of the community are almost like entirely new games, and with all the content available the game seems almost limitless. What strikes me most is that Left 4 Dead 2 is still going strong. People are still playing it, playing with their friends, and producing new Workshop content many years after the fact. There's no doubt that it is not a dead game. It's amazing that a game which I used to play when I was a child can still offer me new experiences now. Although I had thought that I knew Left 4 Dead 2, it wasn't until I finally acquired the game that I realised how much of it I had never actually experienced. It is still one of the greatest zombie co-operative games ever produced. ❤️
