Ledgerbound is a hilarious, narrative-driven tactical RPG/dating sim filled with all your favorite epic fantasy activities: battling evil enemies, filling out paperwork, rescuing your company from financial ruin, pursuing HR-approved relationships, and more!
When the world’s greatest heroes are cut down by an ancient enemy, your company is on the hook for paying out their life insurance claims. That is, unless you can defeat the enemy yourself, proving that those other heroes were simply underprepared—claim denied, baby!
Enjoy punchy dialogue, character-based comedy, and grounded, meaningful conversations that’ll make you fall in love. Or lust. Ideally both.
Engage in strategically dense, grid-based combat to overcome a variety of foes. Customize your team with hundreds of unique abilities, equip corporate swag that boosts your stats, and choose your characters’ promotion paths to unlock powerful new skills.
Just like in real life, time is limited and your choices matter—will you spend your evenings nurturing your blossoming relationships, or will you burn the midnight oil to improve your skills as a tactician? Remember, whatever decisions you make, you’re stuck with forever. FOREVER.
Recruit a ragtag group of weird yet lovable characters, fully voiced by a talented cast of actors who kept saying “wow, this is the horniest thing I’ve ever done.” Then fill out the appropriate HR paperwork so you can get up on them.

Fun
Ledgerbound is a game that blends fantasy eroticism & corporate satyricism with a fire-emblem esque tactical strategy game with an emphasis on it's narrative visual novel components. If you play through the game with linear expectations of each character you'll have an absolute blast. The game has some technical issues, but most of them are largely cosemtic, and don't hamper the experience. Where the game truly suffers is player agency. For better, or for worse, all of the characters in the main cast are incredibly player sexual. This isn't inherently a problem until you try to establish clear boundaries with those you're not interested in romantically. Throughout the adventure there was several sexually charged scenes, despite my best attempts to establish boundaries. When combined with the relationship system that locks mechanical upgrades behind these scenes, this lead to a few occurences where I found myself dreading interacting with specific characters. Unfortunately this lack of agency did not extend only to the characters I disliked, but also those I liked. I found myself pining for a character early on in their story, only to fall apart later. When the game ultimately gave me the decision to cement the relationship or break up, I made the hard decision to end it there. As soon as I clicked the "break up" button the emotionally charged scene came to an abrupt end, without another word spoken. The game just casually switched my status with the companion to 'friends' and for the rest of the game pretended like we were best buds, without ever resolving the tension. It felt as though I had taken an action that the game hadn't even planned for me to take, and made every conversation with that character from then on feel hallow. It wasn't all bad though. Several of the characters have deep storylines, and it felt incredibly rewarding to bring down their walls, and truly bond with them. The game also handles it's writing & concept exceptionally well, with some hilarious satirization of corporate & bureaucratic society. And while I found the combat simplistic, the pairing with the time management system kept the gameplay loop from ever feeling stagnant. Not to mention the incredible voice acting that accompanies every line of dialogue. All and all I'd recommend Ledgerbound, if for nothing more than it's incredibly unqiue story. It may not be the most expansive, or titilating game, and it may have rubbed me the wrong way in a few placed, but at the end of the day I still had a ton of fun.

I love everything about this game, the story, the cracking, the characters, the cracking, the music, the setting. its just amazing, PLEASE GIMME A DLC ALREADY
Genuinely one of the best games I've played all year. Voice acting is amazing, story is funny, characters are great and written well. Combat isn't the deepest tactical combat you'll find, but is still really fun, while also providing a challenge when you try to get that perfect score in each. My only complaint is Pallas. 10/10
romancing the demon girl and dragon girl like there is no tomorrow

I've been waiting for this game since I played the demo. I don't normally play games so close to the visual novel genre, but I'm pleasantly surprised by how good Ledgerbound is. The voice acting is spot on and makes Ledgerbound that much better. I can't recommend this game enough. Must play.
I'm considering a lobotomy to be able to play the game fresh!
Genuinely fun and witty! I'd imagine the humor's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but as someone who's easily put off by Marvel-style humor (
do *NOT* be discouraged by the freeze frame on the intro please it gets better lmao
), I'd say this is a safe choice. The tone/characters feel like a mix between something out of Discworld and a Dimension 20 campaign, with a heavy dose of mildly horny commentary (so far, at least?)/romance. If you like these things, you might like this one. After reading so many reviews/forum posts complaining about the time/burnout mechanics (to the point they have actually included an option to disable it?), I was a bit wary, but so far everything seems perfectly fine? I'm far from being a minmaxer tactician genius in Fire Emblem games, but playing on the second "hardest" difficult I haven't encountered any roadblocks nor missed any optional objectives so far. Yes, you won't be able to max everyone's little heart meter with the time/burnout constraints, but isn't that the point? Personally, it feels more interesting having to manage which characters I want to focus on/which equipment is worth sacrificing time/burnout for than magically being able to get everyone to max hearts all the time, but to each their own. Needless to say, the voice acting is phenomenal. Jazz and Rayna's VAs are absolutely killing it, and Matt Mercer is, of course, Matt Mercer [strike](I might be turning into a furry. Stupid sexy meow meow)[/strike]. I also really like how naturally the dialogue flows on auto advance. I'm usually a big hater of auto advance on visual novels but it feels genuinely perfect here. Rayna is a fun protagonist, and I love seeing a fellow girloser with glasses take the lead. Go queen deny that insurance claim and serve your capitalist overlords!!!!!! Can't really think of any downsides, except that I wish it was localized in more languages, but I understand this might be a daunting task considering the huge volume of text. That and, as I've said before, the humor/tone will not click with everyone (which is only natural). If you're curious, I'd say it's worth grabbing and checking it out! 10/10 having a lovely time 🥰
