Ledgerbound

This is pretty much as close to perfection as we can get, I think. Having played a LOT of party based and tabletop RPGs and always looking for more, I felt like this game was made exactly for me, it has everything I love about them, and so much more. The game feels like some of my more unhinged D&D sessions, in the best way possible, lighthearted and pure fun with your party. I absolutely adore all these characters with their various stages of insanity, the world itself is incredible, and the humor, I was just grinning through half the game at least, probably even more. The art is breathtakingly gorgeous, and everything is voiced by our favorite voice actors who have all done insanely good work all the way through. Combat is a lot of fun, and complex enough to be interesting throughout the game ([spoiler] Even twice, because I needed to see all the replays and their unhinged conversations [/spoiler]). Sure, I would have loved to reload a save sometimes, but it's such a minor inconvinience compared to everything else the game has to offer. It's visible that so much passion and care went into this project, like perfectly timing every line of dialogue for the auto-play, even when they cut into each other's sentences, [spoiler] or the cuts to the mission objectives [/spoiler], or basically every line of text you can find on a form. [spoiler] And the fact that you can bring ALL characters with you and they all can chime in and I don't even have to get a party limit mod and break the game's balance? [/spoiler] If you don't hate or avoid romance in RPGs, just buy the game already, you won't regret it, I promise.

This game is really fun, and it is very nice to have all the dialogs voiced, it really change from VN that aren't voiced.

Finished Ledgerbound in around 30 hours. What a fun game! There's a lot of reading and listening, but the writing kept me engaged throughout. The combat is enjoyable, and being able to replay battles are a fantastic feature. The characters are all distinct and memorable, the writing is witty, fun, and often very horny. The voice acting is absolutely top-tier. And... Cazian 😌

I've been playing Ledgerbound for a while now and the word that keeps coming to me is "adorable".... Ledgerbound is a tactical RPG in the gameplay spirit of Disgaea with lots of interpersonal story like Persona 5 whilst making fun of everything that's currently wrong with the world with a wide a$$ grin. Game's like this don't come around very often... the game that DEFINITELY has something to say but doesn't want to risk conforming to any audience for the sake of losing what it IS trying to say; so it end up like a comedic skit with serious undertones. Line must go up !! Especially if you're an adjuster for a big insurrance company but the world of RPG's is rough and it's your job to refuse claims so you can keep the profit and make the shareholders happy; because they're the almighty gods of this world... ...or so Rayna thought until the current "best" (Read: Most profitable) heroes went and found themselves being put 6ft under by an unknown force? Catastrophe !! Not because the villains might end the world (though that doesn't help either) but because the heroes were 99.9% insured against total party wipe... now your comapny needs to pay out and that risk bankruptcy (major line down, no bueno) so the only thing to do is pick up your hat stand and clobber some evil guys in order to prevent the world from ending and prove it was all the heroes fault anyways (muy bueno). Ofc HR will have to be informed and she appears to be a bit pent up ever since you touched that weird marble in the ruins.... and the local regal lordling isn't too happy YOU are tasked with this but he doesn't seem to mind much either being near to you (maybe it's the scratches seeing as he's a cat)... his maid-droid doesn't mind one bit either... seeking your attention to alleave you of your burdens wherever you go... not to mention that hot bodded baddy just over there; maybe you can convince him to go darkside and do all kinds of nasty things to you the shareholders edge you with.... Did that become uncomfortable? Well welcome to romance in this game... Romance the HR dragonlady (you know; the one who smokes all day and claims to be a freak in the sheets?). Romance the cat-prince (the secret wallflower who doesn't know ♥♥♥♥ if it wasn't for his butler). Romance an android (because we don't know if they dream of electric sheep but we wanna find out).... or romance the bad guys (because they can't fight us if they simp for us).... Meanwhile keep that line going up because fighting battles is 1 thing but going that extra mile is expected (but no more than working on weekends or not owning digital media) Ledgerbound is a "short" tactical RPG with lots of soul and definitely something to say beneath 6ft of veiled innuendo (and not just the sexy kind, oh no). If you don't like Dating Sim games; stay away, a large part of the entertainment comes from the banter with your partymembers; whether that being the rat-wielding hobknob (no realy: that's his name), or your totally not-in-your-head convo's with your best friend: Mr. Hatrack (yes, he's a hat rack... no really... a hatrack) If you're not into TTRPG's stay away too... most of the combat is veiled as a puzzle-like combat scenario ala fire-emblem/disgaea/Troubleshooters. You won't get much out of this game if you don't like the gameplay and to get the best rewards the gameplay is TIGHT (like XCOM timed missions tight, like killing Odin on 1 hp with 1 second on the battletimer whilst he's charging Zantetsuken tight) If you don't like meta-commentary; stay away from this game to.... This game doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about whether you're a he/she/it/they/them/potato/attack-helicopter; you're romanceable all the same (company policy demands it) AND YOU WILL FILE YOUR PAPERWORK.... just look at our resident squirel party member; she's likely to blow up (literally) but SHE's romanceable... so why wouldn't you be? All in all Ledgerbound is a good time that has me smiling wide often at the cooky antics this party of "heroes" gets in and definitely give a big eyewink at all the goings on with moderns corps these days whilst keeping that same commentary breezy, funny and easily to digest.... it's kinda like that friend you have that has done WAY too many weird or illicit things in his/her life to be good for their brains but they're a blast to be around so you don't mind.... .... a little more animations would be great though... but the cartoonish cutscenes tickle my nostalgia bone (no not THAT bone, Jazz... jeeezz... you're HR for god's sake)... 8/10 would recommend to submit to the shareholders again.... or just seduce the vil guys into giving up their plot; whichever makes me less liable for post-parté claims
