Ledgerbound is a hilarious, narrative-driven tactical RPG/dating sim filled with all your favorite epic fantasy activities: battling evil enemies, filling out paperwork, rescuing your company from financial ruin, pursuing HR-approved relationships, and more!
When the world’s greatest heroes are cut down by an ancient enemy, your company is on the hook for paying out their life insurance claims. That is, unless you can defeat the enemy yourself, proving that those other heroes were simply underprepared—claim denied, baby!
Enjoy punchy dialogue, character-based comedy, and grounded, meaningful conversations that’ll make you fall in love. Or lust. Ideally both.
Engage in strategically dense, grid-based combat to overcome a variety of foes. Customize your team with hundreds of unique abilities, equip corporate swag that boosts your stats, and choose your characters’ promotion paths to unlock powerful new skills.
Just like in real life, time is limited and your choices matter—will you spend your evenings nurturing your blossoming relationships, or will you burn the midnight oil to improve your skills as a tactician? Remember, whatever decisions you make, you’re stuck with forever. FOREVER.
Recruit a ragtag group of weird yet lovable characters, fully voiced by a talented cast of actors who kept saying “wow, this is the horniest thing I’ve ever done.” Then fill out the appropriate HR paperwork so you can get up on them.

Good story game. Some mechanical issues with the gameflow here and there. Dont expect too much and enjoy the ride.
The Game looked fun but unfortunately the "humor" of these developers lies in making jokes about real issues in the workspace and overall riding on the absolute worst cliches of american work culture. If you dont mind getting privacy breaching sexist jokes thrown your way and working definitely for the wrong side, have fun.

Really enjoying it so far. If you are only into the visual-novel aspect, the lowest difficulty makes battles super easy to get through. Super pretty art, great voice acting, and subtle but very skilful animated features.
Funny and highly enjoyable narrative game. Wildly underestimated the depth of it in the beginning and got really sucked into the story. Multiple playthroughs for multiple paths and the option to disable time management are very nice and increase the overall value of the game. The only negative thing I can say about it is, that I wish I had more of it.
Too bad this games seems to have been buried on Steam. Writing is fun after the opening narration which had me really worried. They patched the time mechanic to let you turn it off which I think is great, was a big sore point. Fully voiced with recognizable VAs.
Look, this game isn't going to be a great fit for everyone. Between the time management system, style of humor, and the fact that you will probably not be able to experience all the story/relationship dialogue in a single run, there are going to be some people that this is simply not for. That being said, I really do believe that the [strike] freaky [/strike] people who do enjoy this style of game will know there's something special here straight away. The cast is stacked, the dialogue hits all it's marks, the story contains a frighteningly-accurate parallel to our own corporate world, and I'm deeply in love with the game overall. 10/10 give me a physical copy and merch to buy.
I blasted through this game in 24 hours. And It was incredible. Higher difficulties were an infuriating challenge, and I hated it for a time. But when I bit down my pride and just swapped for a bit, I enjoyed it. I laughed, I frowned, I sagged, I blushed MORE than a few times. I raged, I REJOICED, I experienced SO much in this game, that I have only one real gripe.... A game like this is meant to be just one entry. I truly don't see a sequel, or dlc in the future. And I truly wish I could. I'd love to KEEP playing!! I blasted through it way too fast and I both don't regret it, and regret it. Felt a wee bit linear, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I really hope there can be more content added to this game now that it is released, and opinions are being given. I truly liked it. I get few smiles lately, and this game gave me plenty. I enjoyed my time in ledgerbound, and I truly hope the devs see this and make more. Whether its DLC, a continuation of their adventures, anything. I enjoyed this world...I'd hate to have nothing else to do in the future. GOOD STUFF DEVS! Your higher difficulties made me break some stuff in my house, BUT GOOD STUFF EITHER WAY!
A really amazing game that I'm surprised hasn't gotten more publicity. The majority of the gameplay is done in a narrative style, talking to various character. The genre mix of "dating sim" mixed with actual gameplay reminds me most of Boyfriend Dungeon, although that game was a rogue-lite and this is a tactical RPG. But I can't overstate how much of the scope of this game is larger than I expected. Whereas many games in this genre tend to have a 10-15 hour playtime for me, this game seems much longer, at least 40 hours for me. The dialogue is all voice-acted and the artwork is beautiful. The writing is comedic and more hit-than-miss, I dunno, I like it. If you enjoy dating sims in general, this is definitely one of the better ones, although it only goes as explicit as "saucy text." For the combat, I've found it to be a lot more managable than most tactical RPGs. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the genre, because I often find it to be clunky and unrewarding. Here, the game creates a system that makes the core combat relatively easy to complete, but with optional objectives that most more advanced players can hit. It seems like a good compromise, given that it's an element of the game that some people are going to be more interested in than others. I would say that timewise, the game is probably about 75% narrative/dating sim and about 25% tactical RPG, although this is still enough of an element of the gameplay to be significant. Overall, would definitely recommend, especially at the $30 or less price-point.
I don't understand the negative comments tbh. You have 60 time per downtime, early on where the complaints of all these crippling time costs to equip and talk to your party, you have barely anyone in your party, you have no issues talking to the majority of the party each downtime. Later in the game you get a bunch of perks for lowering burnout and time costs for everything in the game, as well as increasing burnout reduction. To the point where i can talk to 4-5 people a downtime, equip whatever i want, spam fights to perfect them (after first try its 1 time per attempt early and free later) AND end most downtimes with less than 10 burnout (40 is the first negative side effect) Just do your HR training, the second you unlock one, its 5 burnout and makes life easier for the rest of the game lol. I do agree that some of the challenges are annoying. Some you're pretty much going to fail the first time because the 'special' condition sometimes isn't unlocked until 70% through a fight and you hadn't planned the combat with a hidden objective that you don't know in mind. Some are vague AF and make 0 sense 'protect' the Onx (they're enemies), wtf does that even mean, sometimes i succeed that, sometimes i don't and i don't change my gameplan at all. The biggest issue with this game isn't even the game itself, its the fact there's no community. This game has no wiki, it has no subreddit, it has no discourse online. Which is kinda crazy to me considering the voice cast, but it makes sense considering this game basically dropped out of nowhere with 0 marketing. But it exasperates all the issues everyone has, because they can't look anything up or discuss it with someone.
Literally nothing but words of praise for this game. Even as of time-of-writing, a day after release, the game is in a great state. The writing is purposefully humorous but knows when to be serious, commentary on it being cringe is ultimately subjective (it is *not* trying to be a very serious game in the first place). If you like a light-hearted experience in RTS/Dating sim, this is the game for you.
