Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Jul 30 → 2.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

You know how outer wilds does that thing where your progression doesn't come from new items but from knowledge of how the game works? Leap Year is a game consisting entirely of that. It's very short but INCREDIBLY effective.

Great game; not for me.
This Game is a Masterpiece! The puzzle design is so deeply thought through! It is complex, and it doesn't break apart with so many movement abilities. And also, there are no Softlocks! Not even in a form of having to die to a spike to continue progressing, there is always a way out, alive. And I am not even talking about the March DLC, yet (Check my March DLC Review), which is a whole other game! Even bigger that the base Game. For those who are looking for a challenge or want to 100% the game (Luckily I am both of them).
The reason that I don't like this puzzle platformer is that it has a sort of reverse game design. Basically you are VERY limited in what you can do as the player. For starters you need to collect numbers in a very linear sequence. Then it fills the game with ideas that are of the "I gotcha" school of game design. Usually you get abilities and then you test how far you can get with it. That's much more intuitive then limiting the players abilities and the letting them guess what ideas you have had. This becomes clear when the game starts painting the solutions to its "puzzles" on the walls of the world. Because when the game doesn't do it you often have to make large circles around the entire map to retry the last jump or attempt to reach a certain number. Its just to tedious to be fun. The two hours that it cites as playtime seems measured by the designer himself then the playtime of actual players that need to find everything out themselves. Its not fun.

Pretty fun game for what it was. When coming in I didn't expect much- just thought it would be funny if I owned Leap Year given my name, but I actually really enjoyed my time. :D
A very short and somewhat fun platformer. I don't think the jumping physics make any sense though. I got it thrown in with a games bundle, I wouldn't have paid for it separately.
