160+ Hours and I'm still hooked! - Updated review Again for the third time I’ve had the absolute pleasure of playing Lazy Train Game for over 160+ hours now, and I can honestly say it’s one of the most relaxing and satisfying builders I’ve played in a long time. Whether you’re looking to zone out and manage resources or build a massive railway empire, this game nails the "cozy" vibe perfectly. A huge thank you to the developer, The Game Warden, for the early access opportunity aswell being your official go to update guy, it's been amazing to see the progress and care put into this full release and whatever else is to come. For new players: The logistics can get a bit complex as you expand! I loved the game so much that I created a full video series and guide to help anyone who gets stuck on certain levels or resource chains. You can find my guide in the Steam Community "Guides" section, or search for BubletsGaming on YouTube if you want to see some high-level layouts in action. Can't recommend this enough! and with updates still to come i cant wait
After initially putting over 8 hours in the Demo prior to release I have now put 17+ hours into the main game and still love it! This is essentially a resource gathering sim focused around model trains that can be played either in the background as an idle type game or have all your effort and time into creating an insane model train layout in your Living Room. With multiple maps, workshop support and a Developer that responds to discussions and bug concerns with plenty of plans to come I can't wait to see what improvements and changes will come in the future! If you are on the fence about this game try the demo, you will become addicted quick. 5 Thumbs Up, 10/10 game, No complaints here!
I'm enjoying it so far! It has fun track building mechanics that are pretty simple to learn, and the music is quite catchy! With a few control adjustments, I got it working flawless on my steam deck, and this is looking like a game I'll be sinking many hours into.
Lots of bugs. Trains don't stay on tracks, collector units can only attach in a single direction....I stopped at that point. Honestly, if they cannot get simple things like this to work and aren't in Early Access, I want my money back. 0/5 - Neat concept, not ready for a full release.
This is a fun little game, I'll give you a hint take care of your energy needs before you get carried away trying to build stuff. Once you have your energy sorted go hard. The game is a simple premise, collect stuff, store stuff, fabricate it into other stuff that lets you collect more different stuff, store that stuff and make even more new stuff! Exploring the game as you build is fun. Learning how to get past the limitations such as unlocking components needed to get around. The game is simple, reasonably intuitive and fun. I've streamed it a couple of times and the audience enjoyed it too. Nathan has been very supportive and some of the things I asked for in the game are even there! I really enjoyed the early access and helping out with a couple of bits and pieces by providing information to help resolve an issue.
Its simple, its cozy, and relaxing to be honest. You lay down tracks, you watch the numbers / resources go up, you upgrade, and you make the line longer. No need to over complicate the simple things
Coming from someone who is mostly a 1st person and 3rd person shooter, I have decided to venture out and try something completely new that is out of the normal genre and a game where I can relax and wind down. I came across this train game and I have to admit, this game is REFRESHING! It is nice to get away from the constant action and have something that is more relaxed. First of all, the graphics and background music compliment each other very well! Additionally, I enjoy the puzzles and the ability to think creatively to design your railroad system how you want while going after achievements. I also find this game extremely unique compared to other similar types that I have played and I find myself coming back to it even with my busy schedule. Also, coming from a father, I introduced this game to my kids and they LOVE it! It brings me joy to see them use their imagination as they build their railroad system while going after those achievements. Bottom line, this game is perfectly fitted for both adults and kids. If you are an game enthusiast, I honestly think you will enjoy this game especially if you want a break from the action packed games. You have nothing to lose and all to gain and I cant wait to see what else this indie creator has up it's sleeve.
Made me happy.
This game is surprisingly good! Resource management and trains, what else could you want. I would love for the curve storage to be released so we can connect industries through turns. Give this game a shot, Its a lot of fun!
Good chill game and you build your own trains! Has some idle aspects of it and something you can let go and it will go in the background! Note: received a review copy, was able to play before launch and again after release.
