This is quite mediocre and only gets a positive recommendation by the narrowest of margins. With at least two dozen FMV dating games that are better, only try it if you’ve played them all and are, like me, beyond salvation. The premise of [b]To Be In Love With Girls Group[/b] is fine: you’re an agent who must create a 4-person girl group. Initially you’re sent to sign the biggest up and coming star. She ignores you, just like in real life. Thankfully your work’s receptionist has a good voice, and she’ll be #1 if you can build her confidence. Then there is a dancing influencer who has no fans, #2 if you can make her popular. A rock n’ roll solo artist can write songs but has hit a creative wall, #3 if you can inspire her. And finally that star that ignored you is #4, if you wait until chapter 5 out of 5, when she joins without drama. All four are romance options, along with a friendly colleague and your boss. While the setup seems good, it sounds far better than it is. The story is a jumbled mess and has several continuity issues. Many things don’t make sense, like your male friend picking you up on a motorcycle inside the lobby and a store that is just a house with one rack of clothes. When you tell #4 to steal a costume and run, she is appalled and the game ends, but if you say you don’t know what to do, she steals the costume, runs, and loves you for it. The timeline does not actually show a lot of choices and scenes. There are branching paths, with early endings if you mess up the relationships. Some good endings also end the game early, and one with #3 is actually good. The game ends abruptly after the girl group forms and dances (no song), even though the boss says this is only the start. The good news is that the actresses do alright with what little they’re given. Wang Juan (#1, receptionist) is a country girl working multiple jobs and her lack of confidence is adorable plus she has a good connection with the player. Ellie (#3, rocker) is aggressive but appealing, and she is the only one that sings, and sings well, despite the game implying her voice sucks. #4 is played by Wu Xiao Xuan, who was actually in a C-Pop band (Hello Girls 2016-2019), and she is in this for about 5 minutes, excluding lame dream sequences. Your colleague is probably the third best romance (the actress was also in Flaky Love – Epic Games Store), but sadly pretty much none of them have adequate endings. Video quality is good overall. Audio is live recorded and mostly clear, however scenes regularly have crap background music that seems like it was pulled from a 1910s silent movie. This lame music is often too loud and completely unnecessary. Translation is worse than typical and it shows English above the Chinese text on videos. The game is shorter than average, taking 2 hours for the first run and under 4.5 for all scenes. And with no skip button it takes longer to replay with only fast-forward. P.S. It is worth comparing this game to the Korean FMV game [b]My Love for the Girls Group[/b] (available on Epic Game Store) which actually has three members of a real, possibly defunct, K-pop band—Saturday. While not amazing, [b]My Love for the Girls Group[/b] is better because it is longer, has more energy, superior endings, respectable branching paths, and good chemistry with the main cast. Playing this game is a bit confusing. 1. Some option in many scenes are unclickable 2. Many scenes either not included in the timeline. So you have to remember where the scenes are. There are even some hidden achievements in some scenes that are not on the timeline

说实话，选角非常好，颜值都很高，演技也都很好无可否认，但是我游玩下来的体验发现制作团队是不是不太清楚定位？明明主角是女团的四位女主，为什么戏份几乎都是配角的呢？尤其是那个徐总...是怎么就一直给她戏份呢？不知道玩家要看的是颜值好看漂亮的姑娘吗？这很难理解？一直强行植入徐总的戏份真的好恶心啊大哥，搞什么东西嘛到底，不是不能，是太多了懂吗，女团中的四位才是主角，百分之90%的戏份都应该给她们而不是配角，我想了很久到底给好评还是差评，但就凭配角太多戏份这一点，我还是选择给差评，虽然感觉有点对不起这四位颜值高演技好的主角们。

I played the game in Chinese, which meant I didn't face any subtitle issues, but what bothers me about it is the storytelling and the design of the game. The way the developer structures the scenes seems odd to me, as some of the choices and paths you select don't really make sense (at least to me). Also, it appears that the Affection rating doesn't seem to play a role, since you can achieve ending with the girls regardless of the routes you select.

女總監是我目前玩過同類型當中算是比較好看的 其他遊戲的總監頭髮太短個性又比較霸氣像男生似的 但總體來說這遊戲相比同類型確實缺點比較多 1.劇情太少 兩天就全部解完了 2.最後跟總監在一起 沒有其他額外女主角更進一步的劇情發展 全部都是在劇中安插就直接中斷 算是最糟的安排 3.有額外目標獎勵跟最終粉絲見面是很好 但看來這遊戲設定及知名度太差 導致連第一個目標都達不到 甚至可以說差到不行 我算過最少要十萬人玩這遊戲 這數量其實有點難 PS:我從小就很喜歡音樂 因為音樂能治癒人心 從小就有個夢想就是打造女團 我不想要知名 我只喜歡默默寫詞 如果把別人捧紅了我會很開心 所以看到這遊戲就玩了 而且我看人一向很準 都是莫名喜歡一位女藝人或網紅 然後這些被我喜歡上的人之後都很有成就
