The Last Epoch implies the existence of a first Epoch - and yet I cannot remember the plot of this game. Isn't that something?
Beyond the Krafton controversy, the game still feels not that good to play. Bugs are scattered throughout the campaign, endgame mechanics excluding weaver tree feel like "add x mobs to maps/ go to separate map' without any uniqueness, monoliths feel like a chore to grind, skills and art style make the game feel clunky/floaty, endgame gear grind becomes "wait for X legendary to drop Y LP", the warpath squeak dear god, etc. I did like the simplicity of crafting and the solo self found faction (CoF) as it makes the game feasible to play offline or without the need to interact with the competitive market prices. Also item filter customization in game was great.
С кайфом побегал. Хороший вайб-гринд + красивая картинка хорошая сюжетка. легкие сайд квесты неплохой лейтгейм хорошее разнообразие билдов
It's not a Path of Exile killer by any means, but, if you like your average diablo clone with flavor and want something "different" every now and again, this isn't a bad choice.
Buen juego, a pesar de lo que dicen algunos ardidos por ahí.
Buen juego en general, no entiendo por que no tiene logros.
I'm comparing this to Grim Dawn and Diablo 3 since I haven't played POE or Diablo 4. Last Epoch feels like the perfect midpoint between those two games. On one hand, you can pretty much do your build however you like, swap it out almost whenever, similar to Diablo 3. Except you still have choices to make with passive points and specializing into your skills, and the specialization tree is pretty cool for most skills since there are multiple builds within a skill. Basically you get a lot of choices for how you want to build your character, and until you get to endgame stuff it's not too heavily determined by a meta. Not to say you can't make bad builds or whatever, but respecs are free for skills (and even sped up!) and you can respec your passive points and your mastery class for gold, too. So if you do make a bad build, you haven't bricked a character and have to restart. It's also got some nice advantages for making alts. Like there are two endgame factions, but once you meet them on your first character, there's a representative at the first camp/town spot in act 1 for every character you make afterward. There's pretty good variety between each of the 5 base classes and their mastery classes, too. You'll see similarities to RPG tropes or other iconic ARPG classes with the 5 base classes, but their masteries let you really change up how they play. Primalist feels like a good example for this. It's got Shaman (spellcaster and totem summoner), Druid (shapeshifter that can play caster or melee), and Beasmaster (melee with pets) as its 3 mastery options. It's not perfect, but I tend to like ARPGs as a "zoom through and kill hordes of stuff without thinking about it" style of game and Last Epoch is really good for that all the way until you're doing endgame stuff.
Just like PoE, this game will get better as they add more contents. I will check on this gem from time to time.
This game is amazing the main story is fantasy but the lore of it is science fiction. Or at least from my understanding of it. All the classes have a unique line of dialog at different points of the game that i found amusing. The combat is a bit challenging for this reason is important to never stand still in a boss fight and to always have a skill for clearing rooms of enemies. With all of that said I hope the people behind this game continue on working on this game.
pretty good. Me likey
