Genre
Ein Third Person 3D Parkour Plattformer
Story
Alles wirkt Seltsam & Random. Nichts was man macht hat irgendwie ansatzweise einen Sinn. I was just mindlessly Bhopping around the map.
Very unpolished and buggy. Skip it.
The game doesn't lock the mouse cursor to the screen which makes it basically impossible to play on multiple monitor setups. On top of that the camera movement is all over the place which gave me motion sickness. Except the mouse locking issue the Linux version of the game works without any problems.
Boring and clunky game, not worth it even for free
The game as a whole is giving off a very disjointed feeling. First off, the story. The game's store page claims it's a science-fiction game, but game proper starts off with wall of text information dump that is entirely in religious/mythical realm. Sure, there are some SF elements, but it's much closer to esoteric, spiritual experience than to SF one. Secondly, the gameplay. While the game is completely linear, it's made up of segments. Most segments play as 3rd person platforming game, which manages to make the big, cool jumps feel awful with lack of mid-air control, amazingly glitchy camera and losing control over the character when "falling" from steep terrain. Any claims the game makes about "exploration" go out of the window when you realise there is nothing to explore for. Sure, you can get off the intended path, but there is never anything there to see. For example, in around the middle of the game, I wasted couple minutes climbing huge stairs to the side only to find absolutely nothing of note on top. To top it off, I think you start each level looking exactly where you are intended to go. All we get is awful movement and expansive, empty levels that drag on for longer than they need to. Then we have segments of other types. Racing, combat, obstacle courses, time attack, freefalling. Some of them are awful, some are quite good, and in contrast with rest of the game, I found myself greatly enjoying the last 2. However, they are exception to the rule, and in the end, game ends up playing horribly for most of its duration. Thirdly, the visuals. Giant structures, otherworldly environments, low poly graphics. Nothing to complain about here, except for the fact that they end up being merely props in otherwise empty world. Not empty in a desolate way, but in the amount of content provided way. On the other hand, game segments are separated by cutscenes, and they give off a really interesting feeling - as if somebody with spark of inspiration managed to make a lot with very little. They're janky - but it's quality jank. Lastly, audio. It's just low quality, with music loops which get annoying quickly and the jump whoosh sound. I probably suffered more due to trying to explore the levels and spending way more time in them than necessary, but still, the complaint stands. ___ All in all - game has some nice elements to it, but as a whole, they just don't stick. The different gameplay segments feel more like an attempt for sake of learning to emulate different genres with very varying results (mostly bad though) rather than something meant to improve the experience or serve any particular purpose. The world is beautiful but ultimately empty. The narrative strikes hard at the beginning with wall of text, only to change into something you might try to figure out of wordless context and cutscenes. The little nuggets of gold in it can't outshine the fact that it's a slow, inconsistent mess of a game that is painful to play through. Not recommended.
Boring, clunky, and poorly designed. Hard to find anything enjoyable here.
