TLDR: Sometimes humorous, mostly shallow and repetitive. The narrator is by far the best part of the game. Strongly suggest trying the free version first.

PROS:
➕Humor at times ➕Narrator
CONS:
➖Repetitive ➖Endings locked behind other endings mean a grind that may require a guide
Content (Game world/Narrative) – [5/10]
The game world is entirely told through a text format that mimics flashcards. There is no way to interact with the world aside from choosing different options. Being that this is essentially a choose-your-own adventure non-visual visual novel, there isn’t really much to the game world itself. The narrative is humorous, whacky, obscene, and disgusting, all in hilarious ways. While there isn’t a real “Main” plot line, there is a sort of finale that requires many multiple different endings in order to unlock. I did not progress far enough to finish the “Main” ending, as I got bored from the repetition and I didn’t feel the main ending was worthwhile enough to continue.
Gameplay (Mechanics/Difficulty) – [3/10]
There isn’t much to the gameplay - you simply choose a path from a handful of options and the story changes. The tricky part is figuring out the order to do things with your limited time you have before the ending auto-starts. On its surface, the difficulty is very easy. There is no point of failure, and every choice leads to an ending, good or bad. However, when you start to get into the game, the difficulty becomes apparent through the order by which you must do specific things with the time remaining. After I unlocked the 2nd job, I felt I needed a guide to figure out what prompt I should be using. Even more so for the final “Main” plot that requires you to complete all detective cases.
Graphics (Quality/Technical) – [3/10]
Despite the game’s minimalistic style, the UI is crisp, the text is clear, and the menus/choices are easy to navigate. Still, this is very much a novel game, there is literally no graphics aside from UI and text, so I cannot rate the graphics great due to this. From a technical side, I encountered no bugs or had any performance issues. i9-13900KF | RTX 4090 | 64GB RAM | 1440p @ 240hz | Windows 11 installed on SSD
Audio – [8/10]
Excellent audio. The narrator (Gianni Matragrano) is AMAZING. Also, the background sounds as you travel through the world are very well done - the hum of your apartment, the ambiance of city hall, all sound great. There isn’t really music in the game, it's all narration and background noises. There is voice acting, but I’m pretty sure it's all just a single person doing all the voices. He did an amazing job, like Disco Elysium-level narrator amazing.
Replay Factor (Longevity) – [3/10]
The game advertises itself as having 117 endings, but a good portion of those endings are the same ending, but a different choice to get there. I would say the replay value is not the best, considering once you do an ending, it's just the same thing again if you make the same choices. Add in no form of progression or anything aside from achievements, and it's subpar.
Final Verdict – [5/10]
Kyle is Famous (KiF) is a short text-based choose-your-own adventure type game. Your first run will take you maybe 10 minutes to get to an ending, but with 117 endings, it will take a long time to unlock them all. This begs the question…does there really need to be that many endings? Most of them I found to be pretty funny. It almost reminds me of an episode of something like Rick & Morty how you can take any innocuous event and turn it into something completely absurd - things like after changing my job to a hot dog salesman, I tried to give hot dogs to passersby only for one of them to curb stomp me and eat me. I then took over his limbs from inside his body, we fought for hours, then talked it out, with me using his mouth from the inside. We then became the best hot dog salesmen and also inseparable, because he ate me. Yes, whacky. Since KiF lacks any sort of meaningful mechanics other than a few choices with each prompt, essentially, that’s all KiF has - 117 whacky endings that don’t really mean much. And while I did find some of the endings hilarious, those were few and far between. I finished a little over 50 endings, and I would say maybe 15 of them were funny. This all begs the question….quality over quantity? Overall, due to the lack of mechanics, lack of meaningful endings, lack of replayability, lack of progression, and the repetitiveness, I chose not to recommend KiF. Instead of paying for this game, I would suggest you get the KiF free version, which contains a good amount of endings, and then if you enjoy that enough, and want more, only then consider buying the complete edition.
Recommend? (Price) [Y/N]

No
$9 for the full version is worth it if you find the game enjoyable. I STRONGLY recommend you try the free version first to get a taste of the type of content and gameplay. The free version contains a solid amount of endings that you can explore and use to determine if you want more endings and choices. Kyle is Famous is a text adventure game where you choose what the character does for the day, leading to over 100 endings, which are all very quirky and unpredictable. Each story gets weirder and weirder and you might have to use a guide to find all endings. It was okay and I roughly enjoyed myself but it can get quite boring sometimes.

Will he destroy the city? Spread gossip about his neighbor? Fight crime? Resurrect the dead? Stay alert. Be careful. Things may not be exactly as they seem. Game Review: In this game, you guide the protagonist Kyle, a famous talk show host, as he prepares for a crucial interview. You have 30 hours—actually, 30 steps—to get ready. Of course, it’s not that simple. Most of the game’s choices and endings are absurdly bizarre and wildly imaginative, embodying a sense of random, nonsensical humor. For example, Kyle can eat a refrigerator or spin around screaming while greeting someone... If you don’t find this kind of thing amusing, the game might come off as somewhat dull. That said, since the game is free, it’s hard to complain too much. Here’s hoping future games in this genre can build on this foundation and deliver even more polished experiences.
While you may find enjoyment in specific situations, the game is mediocre at best. Certainly not worth 10 bucks. However, I received the game for free, but I would not recommend it.
90% of the sentences in this game have never been uttered before. 10/10
It's aight, don't spend $10 on it though, the demo gets the point across enough
Good game; uses absurdity well. Even endings I've gotten multiple times can make me laugh hard enough to make my eyes water.
Kyle is Famous is a text adventure game with over a hundred endings, but despite that the game is rather simple. Most endings simply involve you grabbing an item, skipping to the end of the day, and using said item when it prompts you. So while I would still say it’s a choose-your-own-adventure, it doesn’t really have branching pathways like most other games in the genre. There are only about 5-10 endings out of the 117 that require a bit of creative thinking, the rest are fairly mindless to do. This makes progressing through the game a bit tedious at times. The only thing this game attempts to do is be funny, it doesn’t really try to do anything else. As for the humor, it's alright. At first, the endings are quite humorous with how off-the-wall they are, but as you play the game more, you realize it only has a few jokes up its sleeves. The main ones include: escalation of an initial premise, non-sequters, someone doing something insane and everyone treating it as normal, and Kyle or others’ bodies being contorted in horrifying and unnatural ways (this happens well over a dozen times). It is very much a random = funny kind of humor, which isn’t the most creative, but it got me to chuckle a fair amount, with a few jokes making me full on belly laugh. Overall, though, the game was not nearly as funny as it was trying to be. My favorite parts of the game were finding the few endings that required a bit of puzzle-solving to get. As well, the game’s final ending was actually quite good and left the game on a satisfying note. Kyle is Famous is a game whose enjoyment entirely hinges on how much you vibe with its humor, as for me, I thought it was decently funny, 7/10.
I didn't really care for this. It revolves mostly around randomness-based humor, and despite tons of endings, the play-through is repetitive and gets stale quickly.
This is just a silly Textadventure. I dont get the 96% and do not recommend it if you are not totally into this kind of games.
