Kopanito All-Stars Soccer is a situation where I wish Steam had a "neutral" option for a review, because I can neither recommend or not recommend this game. One of my the biggest annoyances with this game is the fact that so many teams need to be unlocked and it's wild that you have to win a tournament on professional difficulty just to be able to play as USA. The idea of unlocking teams in general isn't such a bad idea, but to lock it behind professional difficulty is a bit much. The game itself is fun enough, albeit quite simplistic, and the different difficulty levels allow for anyone to get enjoyment out of it based on what sort of experience they're looking for. It's nice when games don't lock fun behind a "get good" mentality. That said, as mentioned earlier, if you want to play as USA (and others), you will very much have to "get good." A happy middle ground would have been a better approach in my opinion. If you don't care about what teams you have access to, if you're just looking for a fun, somewhat simplistic soccer game where you can adjust the difficulty to your enjoyment level, I'd definitely recommend it. But if you have a favorite team, or a home country, that's hidden behind a difficulty level, you might find yourself a bit annoyed.

Absolute gem og a game! We have more fun with this that Fifa - also up to 5 players (coop og vs) on the TV. One little drawback, the button config for 8bitdo controllers (as xbox) is a bit off..

"Kopanito All-Stars Soccer" es un juego de fútbol similar en su concepto a Mario Strikers. Jugaremos 5 contra 5 en partidos en los que, en función de lo bien que lo hagamos, iremos rellenando una barra de progreso que, al llegar a su máximo, nos permitirá ejecutar acciones especiales (como realizar un super-tiro, congelar a los rivales, o electrocutarlos cuando estén cerca de nosotros, entre otros). Tendremos multitud de ligas y copas de todos los continentes. A medida que ganemos torneos, desbloquearemos nuevos equipos y podremos jugar dichos torneos en nuevos niveles de dificultad. Gráficamente no es un juego maravilloso, pero cumple sobradamente, con una estética agradable. Los efectos de sonido, cumplen también aunque no hay demasiada variedad en lo que a melodías se refiere. La jugabilidad es buena, aunque el salto de dificultad entre Amateur y Profesional es abismal y requerirá de muchas horas de práctica para poder ganar torneos en Profesional o Leyenda. Lo más negativo, sin duda, el no poder elegir a algunos equipos hasta que hayas ganado torneos muy avanzados, y el hecho de forzarte a jugar horas y horas de partidos repetitivos, si quieres conseguir todos los logros. Es un juego divertido si lo juegas con algún amigo, pero excesivamente repetitivo después de unas cuantas horas de juego. Divertido por unas horas, pero lejos de ser un título imprescindible. NOTA: 6,5/10

Wonderful game. Initially, I wasn't looking for football, just for some local co-op for 4, but in the end I've spent a lot of hours having fun with it solo. So, this game captures the spirit of street football pretty well. It's simple (it's not even 11x11, just 6x6), yet its core is fun. I've scored lots of visually different goals (my GIF folder has 60) and quite often I launch this game for one fast match, but stay for two or three because I want more. Special abilities spice things up, because you never know, which one you'll get, and while some things about this game indeed could be done better (for one, I don't appreciate how deadly is AI with corner kicks, while you are not, or all those moments when my player gives a pass in one direction while I am sure I've clearly indicated him the other way), my general experience is very positive. I don't play it too much, but hey, it's not even a 40K game. And I still play it. Tells you a lot.
