Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series

While these two remasters compromise the visual identity of BOTH games. I would still recommend this! More should play Klonoa! Think of it as kirby's furry cousin. You grab and throw enemies in a similar fashion. A friend of mine once called it a "combo platformer" and I think about that a lot. Your base movement sucks, and most levels need you to chain jump off baddies. The levels are mini metroidvanias and often use its 2.5D in very interesting ways!

Everytime this creature opens its mouth and says somn like "ah yah! Bahbahbah pfftt" I wanna pick it up and hug him until he becomes one with my ribs

Yeah I can see why those who grew up with this series still hold Klonoa close. It's not flawless, more precise than I anticipated, but it works really well even with those flaws. I'd ramble more about some annoyances, but the fact they're reduced to that instead of full-on problems shows the quality throughout. Was fun to 100% before writing this review, worthwhile despite some shortcomings.

Give us more Klonoa. the old handheld games, the spinoffs, a 3rd game. anything

its kinda hard with some parts of the game but i think the game is fun and story is charming and nice
