Super fun SMB3-like! I love the queer representation in the storyline <3 The level design is great, I can see the inspiration from kaizo level design as well (and certainly in the postgame levels!) The town and minigames are a nice touch. Would highly recommend!
Padded, Poorly Paced and Padded. I really wanna like this game. The gameplay is solid and like retro platformers of ye old NES and Gameboy. However this game does some real cardinal sins that make this a pass for me. The pacing of the cutscenes and story are on sonic levels of speed, the collission in some areas is really jank and the tower levels are just all around not fun. However, the big thing here is that, after World 6, you are forced to replay THE ENTIRE GAME UP TO THAT POINT, No changes in level design, no changes in music. Just a slightly different character and like, two new very simple boss fights. This is incredibly lame. It should've been a cool new game+ option ala Meta Knightmare, but instead its one of the worst cases of padding I've ever seen in an indie game. I cannot recommend it because of that. It gets so boring so fast.
great visual aesthetic but in gameplay it just feels like mario but less intriguing and really sluggish/unweildy, powerups appear a lot less and all the secrets i found always only lead to coins, no warps or secret collectibles, i just feel like theres a lack of adventure.
This is absolutely adorable, a great homage to SMB3 and an interestingly challenging platformer.
the story goes way too fast, the pacing is horrible in that aspect and it enters romanticisms way too early into the story, i had no time to get attached to the characters the movement is slippery and sometimes feels delayed, most of the powerups feel like straight up plagiarism, and the world map shaped like a star... where have i seen it before? it makes me sad to know that the first game i mark as a "dont recommend" is based on my favorite type of character, the kitsune.
This is a very fun Mario 3 spoof and the aspec representation made me extremely happy. Good game, would recommend.
This is Mario Bros but as a fully voice acted game with a story. It seems like some of the characters are a little hot for each other so far. Seems interesting.
jogo que beira a perfeição em questão de simplicidade, o ruim que e muito curto fiquei com fome de mais conteudo......
Cute game but pretty difficult
A very competent Mario 3 clone with unique power ups and a charming aesthetic. Relative to Mario 3, the level design here gets maybe a little too challenging for my taste as it goes on and creeps towards precision platformer territory at times, though it softens things by having infinite lives and more checkpoints than Mario 3 had. N.B, the back half of the game does include a
ghouls and ghosts-style twist where you need to replay the entire game to get the true ending. You get to play a new character, but I find it kind of an odd choice either way.
. I think even if one decides to drop the game at that point they'll nonetheless have had a worthwhile experience
