Fun little platformer though very tough. It has some rough edges on the overall design but I really liked the idea of the fling mechanic. Chase sequence is pretty long though and I feel this kind of game thrives on short but difficult sequences instead. Was definitely worth the few euros I paid on discount. Curious to see what the dev will come up with next!
Another banger from the team at HardieSoftworks! I am sure with the currency conversion my purchase will keep the studio open for the rest of 2024. The game plays well enough, but I was a bit disappointing by the lack of realism in the graphics. I couldn't make out my characters cloaca and that was disappointing. Not being able to follow the sexiest part of my birb character took away from some of the immersion. I do like how there was DEI included, but not shoved down my throat. I too want to live in a world where a Cardinal and a Blue Jay can cooperate together! If only...
Very cute game. Can get rather difficult at times in both a good and bad way, and sometimes the mechanics are just a tiny bit too annoying to deal with (there are a lot of autoscrollers involving hanging onto a platform and changing your direction to avoid spikes that seemed kinda unfit for a game like this); overall though it was a very enjoyable experience and it gets plus points for birds. Can't wait to see if they make more stuff a la Rupert's Delivery, would love to see those mechanics get expanded upon!
fun short 2d platformer that takes inspiration from celeste but does its own thing as well
The pixel art is done well and the levels are quite fun.
Absolutely fantastic game. I had the pleasure of playtesting this game, and as someone who's a huge fan of platformers (from Celeste to VVVVVV to Hollow Knight to Getting Over It), this game is a worthy addition to the list of "good indie platformers". Would definitely recommend.
while it may seem chariming, its kinda just celeste but with a flick mechanic, i'd give a little leeway with how jank the game feels but considering the cover art got swapped out for a lazy AI image, that leeway's gone.
It's fun (sorta) for a while, but eventually it just sorta gets tedious. If you get it on a sale it's hardly daylight robbery so I'm not gonna say don't check it out, but I just reached a point here where I'm like "no, I'm not having fun anymore".
I really wanted to like this game - I'm a huge fan of precision platformers, and I really love the gimmick in this game. But sadly, it's all the things around said gimmick that doesn't do it for me. The level design is bizarre and full of unintentional ways to beat them, the controls are weird, the chase sections are just Too Long, and as much as it pains me to make comparisons to other, more popular games, it's just too much like Celeste. However, as much as this game disappointed me, if there's ever going to be a Kiopioke 2 -- I Will Be There. I Promise. I love what this game has to offer, and while I don't think this game can be salvaged with patches and whatnot, I do think you can build off of this game's ideas. I believe in you.....
Celeste wannabe with unresponsive controls. Frustrating to play
