So far A fun platformer. I really like the retro look and the music gives it an early 90's feel. Using your beak as a hook is really cool. The couple of "path building" sections I have encountered gives a good change of pace. The 1.5 hrs I've played has been really enjoyable.
Pretty fun and has some unusual mechanics around the sticking and flicking moves.
A very tight and unforgiving platformer, yet with a bundle of accessibility options I appreciate as someone not used to the launch mechanic. Wish the Dev the best!
Absolutely love this game! I'm not particularly great at precision platforms, but the charm and challenge of this game, as well as the interesting mechanics, completely drew me in and got me addicted. Neither me nor my sore thumbs regret it once bit! XD Also the cat gave me trauma. 🐱🚫 10/10
Zdecydowanie polecam.
I only put half an hour in this game before refunding it. Not because it's bad, but because the flicking needed to do the jumps hurts my left thumb. Like, physically hurts too much to keep playing. This is a me thing and I'm sure someone else wouldn't mind. Because of that, I won't give any more depth into this game because that would be unfair. Still, the game is well put together and that's why this is a positive review. I like the music, graphics, controls, and charm. I wish I could play it more.
Beat the game, I really like it! There are a few parts that feel a bit too tight but otherwise I really like the mechanics, I did struggle a bit at first with the controls (which the fact I couldn't find out how to remap them didn't help) but once I got used to them it was a lot of fun! I think the game generally does well teaching new mechanics, but there is one room in skynest that I didn't realize what I was supposed to do because I didn't realize that one mechanic could be used to beat the room, which could have possibly been helped by teaching that earlier, or making it more obvious that you weren't supposed to do what I was trying to, but other than that the game was really good! Anyways with all that said, no wavedash 0/10
Don't let the cute visuals fool you, this game is tough. At least it is for someone who doesn't play many platformers but did get through Celeste and even managed some of the optional B-Side levels. You'll find a lot of Celeste influence here, but the difficulty ramps up much faster and Kiopioke earns its "Precision Platformer" tag. I had hundreds of deaths while struggling through just the first area (mostly while getting accustomed to the flinging mechanic on a steam controller) but the charming art and great retro soundtrack pushed me on and eventually things clicked. And like Celeste, this game also includes (hidden) harder optional levels. But unlike Celeste I actively avoided those whenever I came across them. Because they scare me.
A neat platformer.
Game is well made, super challenging some hit boxes are a little big that you don't see yourself hit but you still die, some parts of the game should be a little more easy it's very difficult that it's hard to enjoy. Overall a great game but beware of the challenge for a quick 2D platform
