Avoid. You slowly walk through the same boring maze of hallways and stairs looking for keys and batteries while extremely cheap jump scares are thrown at you.

There is no story, so don't go in expecting one. It ends on a rather abrupt and completely random note. Seriously, it's like, walking then, Bam, End. It's the weirdest thing I've played recently. Took 40 minutes to finish the thing. It's boring since there's nothing but walking. BUT, it is rather spooky. Visually, I wasn't all that impressed. It's pretty generic. However, I was captivated by the audio (minus a few cheesy voice clips thrown in there). Creepy things lurking in the halls, added to audio, managed to get a cheap jump scare out of me once or twice. There is not a lot of substance here. But it was nice. It reminded me of a silly little roadside haunted house. As inexpensive as it is, it's a fun little fright, and I think you should take a look.

A walking simulator with some solid spoops. I feel like I got $0.99 of enjoyment out of it. It's very short. I almost gave up at the stairs because they were needlessly long. It felt like I spent almost 15 minutes just walking down stairs. Yuck. The art isn't great, you can't run, and things are a little janky. The spoops got me though! A bit on the jumpy side, if that's your thing <3

Had a couple jump scares, would have given it a good review because of the cheap price. But then the endless stairs happened. Those stairs were super annoying, thought i had to go back up because it wouldn't end and some games do that where if you turned around, it updated.... but nope. It really was just non stop going down forever.

Played through the game it seemed to finish at a weird point like half way down a corridor, but this game has long corridors, cheap jumpscares and keys that you couldn't see.I didn't really enjoy playing it I don't like being critical of games but I speak my mind and this game was not enjoyable at all.Price though was very cheap maybe I shouldn't moan to much.

With good conscience i can not recommend this game to anyone, even on sale for what I paid for 0,23$ i felt scammed. No story whatsoever, and no gameplay, if you think collecting keys is gameplay ... No intro, just throws you into the game. Very, very cheap Jump scares just pooping up time to time. No [spoiler]ending whatsoever, you walk for 35 min and it just ends the game...[/spoiler] No reading notes, lousy audio, and looping music for 2 sec for 35 min. Key hunting simulator and opening doors game. Horrible flashlights with batteries that don't last long, there are just enough in the game for you to finish. if you get lost or stuck even for 1 min you need to restart the game because the game is peach black, and you will see NOTHING. I need to say one thing positive .... Game runs well i guess. Taking influence from the likes of P.T. and Layers of Fear, you walk through dark halls and explore scary rooms, all the while your settngs alter around you (typically behind you) as the foundation cxontinues to get immersed in flame. For one dollar US currency, you end up with roughly thirty minutes of cheesy spooky walk-fueled game play that is about what you expect for its price point. Until the end, that is, which elevates this into something more amateurish as far as the theme goes. There's no real story, so the devel;opers really needed to rely on the atmosphere here. Sadly, this one stands just abve the bar of a family friendly haunted house Halloween attraction. While The Nightmare isn't exactly bad, it's just a really simple horrific walking simulator with an ending that doesn't pay out for half hour you sink in. The phrase "you get what you pay for" can't be any more appropriate to use here. As a time waster or something to ease yourself into this genre, the price point is reasonable, though I'd still wait for a sale to feel truly satisfied with the experience if not diving in for the achievements (which all unlock through natural gameplay).
